Awareness of and love fo the HOLY SP|IRIT is alive and well, despite the coarseness, vulgarity, cynicism, bitterness and base ingrtitude that the enemdia would have us believe characterizes this age in which we live. Not only a wonderful mastery of the instrument is at work, here a bright, beautiful and powerfully REVERENT spirit comes from this splendid young player. What a JOY this high level of music making is to behold! THANK yOU! You are one who helps me maintain my faith. Gert, I've been watching and listening to you for several years. It is obvious to me that you have a great love for the music and the instrument. One of the definitions of talent is that loving something enough equals talent and, as long as you continue to love what you are doing, your talent will also grow. I can testify to that! Bravo to you and your lovely life partner -- a partnership made in heaven... Thank you!

Idd.

I'm compelled to comment! Love it! What talent you have. What singles you out from other great organ talents is your willingness and ability to express the breadth of what you feel inside as you play the music . This is what transports your performances into the stratosphere. I used to play the organ in church, but never developed further, unfortunately. Yet I seem to feel what you feel as you play and much of the time am in sync with the way you express yourself. And it's just such a marvelous and moving experience. I just found you today and immediately subscribed. I've already listened to a couple of hours now and am looking forward to many more hours of such bliss. I first posted this comment on your 01/21/16 "Trip to Geraardsbergen" not only because of your ability to fully express your feelings through music but also because of your talent for improvisation , both of which are also on display in your 2013 "Conquest of Paradise" and other earlier videos. I must also mention your talent to use the right stops that beautifully and effectively express the tonal qualities of each organ you play. Thank you Gert for being you. Never hold back what you feel inside as you play. That will be the key to your future.

I reckon that C. B. Fisk Op. 150 at Historic Christ Church and Burial Ground, Philadelphia, PA, USA, would be right up van Hoef's alley, as he's used to some fairly stiff mechanical- and hybrid-action organs in his native Netherlands. Soonest such a concert could be scheduled could be mid-2021, given the COVID-19 medical situation.

Wonderful! In my younger days I much enjoyed concerts on a then fairly new Dutch tracker organ in Cambridge MA. I'm sure you would love it! Hope you can tour USA sometime. The 33-rank, mechanical action Flentrop organ in Busch Hall was made famous by concert organist E. Power Biggs. After experiencing the historic organs of Europe on a concert tour, Biggs commissioned this instrument in 1958 from the Dutch organ builder Dirk A. Flentrop. Many thanks for all your YT music/videos.
