I give Ryan a lot of credit for what I considered very measured and overall gracious and honest responses that seemed to hold himself accountable for his actions. Much respect. I also feel like people need to get over losses negating the impact of a person's impact on the sport. The stories and how one rebounds from a loss can be just as inspirational if not even more so in the long run. Emulating one's potential to grow more resilient and resourceful.

100% spot on. We blame boxers for not giving us the fights we want but also act like one loss kills a career. This should be the new normal like in MMA. After he got knocked down in the second and he couldn’t get his left off. You can see that he still wanted to fight but the fire was gone. I’m not sure if Ryan was scared after going down in the 2nd, but he certainly realized Davis could capitalize on his weaknesses; the writing was on the wall. And he could not adapt. After the liver shot, I think he realized, one way or another Davis would KO him. Davis, like all the greats, can adapt to his opponent’s style during the fight. I thought Davis’ ability to win against Cruz despite a damaged hand demonstrated both ability to adapt, heart, and confidence.

@@Justin-rd7ec well I'm not crazy about Ryan but objectively speaking luke kinda tapped Ryan chin more and he really wasn't expecting that shot and was hurt you could see but even I thought he got up quick after that first knockdown from tank now the body shot had him rethinking life (Ryan only every meant the first time tank dropped him not the 2nd time) of course we know he took more damage later

Garcia said he thought the fight was getting boring and got anxious. So basically, he wanted to give the audience a show. So he got careless and started pressing trying to make things happen and he got caught. No excuses, whining or bitching, he admitted his mistakes and is ready to move on. Class act. I respect him. Maybe what young and or less experienced fighters need to always remember and never ever forget is when they are in the ring, yes, you want to give the spectators a show, but putting on a show for the spectators is not the goal. It is to win. So do what you know you need to do to win (legally). And if that means slowing down your pace, then slow it down. Boring or not, a true fan will continue to be a fan. The fans watching are just spectators (ones who watch). Don’t let wanting to impress the fans undermine your boxing sense and dictate your moves in the ring. Look at Davis, what did he say? He remained calm and collected, kept at a certain pace. That allows him to think. So, boring or not, At that moment, he doesn’t consider the spectators because he’s not fighting them. I always noticed how Floyd always did the same thing. Best wishes and good health to both fighters in the future.

@Oxygen your comment Sir is the best comment here. Ryan needs to care about winning. Having said that, I think his body and chin cannot take a solid hard punch sadly that's reality. Tank on the other hand, is a complete fighter who has a tremendous IQ super smart. He's so powerful but can also take a hard punch. He's truly a Tank. My respects to him. Haney better not fight him because if he does, Tank would knock him out. Haney like Ryan has a weak chin and that's a no no against Tank. Hope Tank fights Pitbull again. That would be a good fight because Pitbull has power and can take a solid hard punch

Honestly I don't think Ryan was bored. I think he had stage fright. I mean it his biggest fight in his career with no lost under his belt. It doesn't make sense that he got bored and decided to just went ham and make mistakes.

so sad the King still didnt admit Tank power has the most powerful punch he ever face. After the knock down, Ryan looks shock and starts to fear with Gevronta shots. If he still didnt admit the power, he will never win the next fight bacause that power is what he should focus on.

@@godfather92370because you're looking at It from an incomplete perspective. A person who has more power vs a person who punches hard with the technique gives it power. goes like this. .. VS POWER No matter what you do if you get hit, if you block, if you barely get touched, that shit hurts, it stings it might even move u. Verse A Person with Power behind their Technique ...that person with some strength will generate power but they're very technical .technique feels like and is power but because theyre in the right position can still knock you down knock or out. If you're blocking or the punch isn't to solid of a hit its like ok no problem. HOWEVER Get caught clean you're going down. Or the accumulation of punches will take you out. Mike Tyson: POWER no matter what youre doomed😂 Ali: (Technique + Speed + Strength) = Generation of Power which can catch you at anytime because the technique and the speed is there. Is going to ADD UP over time and if caught clean you can get knocked out or down.

4:40 it’s all well and good saying he struggles with activity which is kinda true but u can’t be too active against him cuz his counter striking is elite. i genuinely don’t know how someone could beat him unless if they have an unfathomable amount of power or if they stay on their bike for the whole 12 rounds

I think Garcia's gameplan of taking the fight to Davis was interesting. Ryan gave away being the counterpuncher and it was working at times, but getting Tank into a close fight was risky and he got caught twice hard enough. Good fight but Tank proved they're levels apart.

@@dog90787 The more the hands are away from the body, the more likely one is opened to the counter. Ryan throws wide crosses and straights. He will get caught. It is just a matter of time if he fights someone with speed like Davis or someone like Spence or Crawford.
