Frank was never in control he was punching tanks gloves 90% of the time and simply throwing more punches and wasting energy. The second he got hit and felt that sting he retreated and broke down mentally

Really like the content. Byron's boxing knowledge is legit. I want to say this. Tank is elite. But we gotta stop acting like dude's are good just because they lasted with Tank. The logic is circular. FM fought scary and tired himself out and we all KNOW Tank starts slow. Saying FM performed well because he won most of the first 6 rounds when Tank wasn't trying to win them is somewhat contradictory. I could tell the moment Tank decided he had FM figured out. Round 6 and it never looked like FM had a chance after that. I think he's a b-class fighter at most. That's the reason Tank picked him. He was a tune-up who was undefeated. If you watch FM's last fight, he barely, barely, escaped defeat by artem hartyunyan. Artem took a knee in the final round that swung the fight. He was not impressive. On the Shakur talk, yes he's got to prove it. BUT, this narrative that's he's so boring is casual talk. His last outing was terrible. But just the fight before that, he beat the s**t out of Yoshino. Go to his title fights against Herring and Valdez and he beat them dudes tf up. He's had some lackluster fights, but most of his fights have been pure a**whoopings. There's a reason why none of them other dudes call him out and it aint because he's boring, it's because he's a tough lick, and they know it. Yeah, Shakur talks crazy but ppl really gotta short memory in this sport. There's a reason Floyd, Ward, and Crawford were all at his last fight. Those in the boxing world know/have seen that's he got some elite abilities. He gotta show it though. Tank is elite. He needs to fight other elites before we start putting him in top p4p class. He's still yet to fight another champion at lightweight. Fighting a post-prime Loma will be the best opponent on his resume. That's right a Loma who has already lost to Teofimo and Haney and is closer to 40 than 30 would be the best fighter on Tank's resume. Yes, the knockouts are hella exciting and impressive, but folks get carried away. But that's so unfair to the other dudes. In order to be top p4p, you gotta either unify or go up and fight other champions. Tank has done neither and expressed very little desire to do so. Inoue, Crawford, Usyk, Haney and others have taken on those challenges repeatedly, we can't move them out of the way because a guy knocks out guys who he was a -700 favorite to beat. How can we put a dude who don't fight champions on the same level as Crawford, Inoue, or Usyk. All of who have beaten the top 10 p4p guys in the last 18 months. All of whom have unified and went undisputed. I think Tank can beat anybody at 135, but he has to show it by beating other elite guys. And here's the thing, everybody wants to fight him since he's supposed to be the money man. He can make just about any of those fights happen. riddle me this, if it's just about eye test then what about Boots? Dude's barely lost a round in his career. Never had any close fights (like pitbull), and has the impressive knockouts, defense, reflexes, athleticism, skill. Passes the eye test with flying colors why not have him top 5 p4p?? Because we all know, who you fight matters as much as how you look when you fight them. Frank was a good fighter but he wasn't elite. An elite fighter doesn't go into a fight a +700 underdog.
@SpectatorSporting4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately for Boots, he doesn't have those significant names on his resume yet... & looks like he will need Teofimo, Haney & a clean King Ry to move up to 147, & finally give him that significant fight... although a fight vs the WBC champ Mario Barrios would be a step up in class... Tank's resume is clearly better than Boots. Gervonta moved up 2 weight classes to KO an undefeated Barrios, his left uppercut stopped former WBA Champ Santa Cruz, he KOed Ryan Garcia, overcame injury to defeat Pitbull & jurys still out on how good Frank Martin will be... & before we enter 2026... don't be surprised if we will be viewing viral highlights of Tank knockouts vs Loma, Shakur & Pitbull... & I'm sure Haney is also on his hitless

From 130 to 140, no fighter is defeating Tank!
@joinerSUjagsbluengol4 ай бұрын
@@SpectatorSporting Yes. Tank's resume is better than boots, but that's not my point. My point is that his resume is not in the realm of Crawford, Inoue, or Usyk, or Haney if we being honest. So how can we start pushing him into the top 5 p4p? The same way you acknowledge that Boots' resume is below tank's so we can't equate his performances to Tank's performance is my argument regarding Tank's resume compared to the big 3 and the same reason you can't compare his performances. My point is there aint many fighters who Tank could reasonably fight who have the talent + resume to really test him. It's not his fault, he's that elite. But if you're going to get ranked with or above the other elites, you have to TRY to fight dudes who are going to test you and who are the best in your division or move up. That's what Crawford, Inoue, Usyk, Bivol, and Beterbiev have done. Tank doesn't have a single win or performance against an opponent in the realm of Fulton, Spence, Fury, or Canelo. Devin, Loma, Teo, Shakur, and others have been there for years. Tank only moved up one weight class to KO Barrios, it was fought at 140lbs. Tank struggled throughout as well. Helluva knockout though. Showed his dog. Now before the Tank fight, tell me who Barrios had beaten? His only win of recognition is against Ugas (after Tank), whose face was already broken by Spence. Santa Cruz was a career bantam weight/feather weight who moved up a couple divisions to fight tank (his fight prior to Tank was superfeather though) and look at his resume. A loss, draw, and prior and mixed decisions prior to Tank, at two weight classes below lightweight. Not a threat to tank. Who has Ryan beat (legally)? Has he been a champion at any division? Same question about Frank Martin. Yes, we know these names. If Tank fights most of the other guys, I'd still have Tank, but I can't give him that, because he hasn't proved it nor has he tried to prove it against top guys.

Dude in white shirt wrong on right side...Tank figured him out and the coaches said, “Let your hands go”. I don’t understand why people still make a big deal saying, “Tank was losing the beginning rounds”. Another thing, Frank was hitting Tank gloves mostly, it’s boxing, you gonna get hit. Tank has a chin that no one at 135 has power to KO him, Tank power is around 167.

His skills and dominance was on another level. Floyd at 24 was a real dawg. We can’t name fights after 35+. Shakur and even Devin are not elite or on pretty boy Floyd level at 24-25. Shakur don’t got enough to keep tank off of him neither does Devin or teo or loma. He smoking all of them. And how can bro say in anyway loma is the face of 135 let alone the face of boxing? Loma ain’t never done the numbers tank has or even won more than 1 belt at 135. He took 2 loses and had questionable wins in 135. Loma don’t move these ppl in anyway as far as the fans and he not on tank level at all when it comes to who the ppl wanna see. Hardcore and Casuals. It’s not even close. C'mon brothers. Frank was fighting to survive. Them fight gloves hit different than those sparring gloves. After rd 4 Tank was walking in with his hands down. Frank was a tune up. Frank will have learned some things to make him a much better opponent. Tank is fighting Lomo next. Frfr Frank never had a chance to beat Tank. Never! He knew it and he had to make his team and fans believe it. As far as PitBull goes, Tank had trained for another fighter. PB was also training for another fight. He was a last minute replacement. You guys seem to forget that PB for all his aggression couldn't stagger, knock-down or knock out an one-handed fighter. So move along on that ish. Tank will rematch him, although PB brings very little to the table. It will be another big money fight for PB and he should be Tank's #1 fan. He took him from poverty and obscurity to the big lights and some real money. Lomo IS going t o fight Tank. They've been in secret negotiations. They both know this will be a huge fight with huge rewards. Shakur is too slick for Frank right now. Good fight but Frank's stamina is suspect and he can't absorb body shots well. Stop saying Tank has fought only 🍅 cans and C-level fighters. It's disrespectful and unfair. Tank is a 130-135 fighter. It's not his fault that there are not strong candidates who can legitimately challenge him on his level available. You guys want an already small guy to go up and fight guys much bigger and heavier. Why? You low key really want to see him lose. You're not asking Lomo to go to 147. You're not asking Inoue to go up to 120-130. Everybody seems to want to force Tank into a disadvantageous position to feed into their Roman Colliseum thirst for violence. Boxing is a sporting business. Those guys are not in there just for laughs and giggles, or some macho man pissing contest. They want to make some REAL money, impact the sport, be the best in THEIR weight division and procure a winning and memorable boxing legacy. These guys all talk a good game until they come against a real beast, with some real thunder in their fists. Those gloves hit different than those protective sparring gloves. When Frank, Ryan and other Tank opponents felt that real power, the speed, the slickness and finesse, they realized they weren't fighting your average, or just good, fighter. They knew their opponent was formidable and dangerous. They all know that and they're low key glad if Tank stays at 130-135. They realize he can be just as dangerous at 140, with no weight bullying allowed. You fight at 140 with a rehydration clause, period! They all want the bag and clout for having gotten in the ring with him,, even it he KO's them. Tank shouldn't have to endanger himself to make these other fighters feel more confident in their ability to beat him. You guys will want him to fight Fury next if he goes through the 140lb list. Besides you haven't spoken one word about the business side of boxing. What do each of these wannabe opponents bring to the table? Sure they want this and that, but what do they have as negotiable to get what they want? Is Tank suppose to provide all the promotion, sell the fight, pay all the fees, obtain the venue and the costs that come with it? Secure the televised viewing of the fight, pay all those fees and then give the opponent 30- 35% of the take? BS! You have to bring something to the table that's worthy of fighting the top dawg. Even with Lomo, Tank IS the top dawg. He's undefeated with a hellava ko rating. He has a huge fan base. He has the clout in PPV streaming. He sells out arenas. The city he fights in gets a major economic boost because the celebrities and who's who in society come out to see him perform and they spend big money. Only Lomo can compete in most of those areas. So all this conjecture and jaw jacking about fighting tomato cans, without looking at the combined win-loss ratio of those he's fought and beaten, is just pure journalistic negligence. Either stand on business and have a real, factual conversation/ debate about the sport and all who participate to the standard, worthy of people spending their dollars to watch them fight. There's also levels to reporting. I like your format, but there are some things that need to be tweaked and added to really lean in on boxing and its intracies. Have a good day brothers.
