I am American and I love everything Alpine, Bavarian, etc. However, my daughter-in-law is full German and she cannot stand to have this type music around her. Go figure. This music is beautiful; I have dozens of these KZbin videos on my favorites file and listen to them constantly. Thank you very much, or should I say Danke schoen!, sehr schoen!!

From UK: A few years ago I was working in Germany. I had to go into hospital for a heart problem. After beginning to recover I could walk to a Patients Rest-Recovery Room with reading, books, coffee etc. But the music pounding over the speaker system was Rubbish Rap music! It nearly gave me another heart attack. I asked the young German nurses why they played this rubbish music and not German folk music.. They told me Rap Music is the best and no-one in their right mind listens to German folk music. Wow! How terrible to hear this! But I managed to get them to change the music in the recovery room to German folk music, so I recovered!

@@HarrySmith-hr2iv the problem that you two don’t understand at all is that Germany is NOT only Bavaria. The music that the English speaking world considers „German folk music“ is 90% Bavarian folk music, you can’t understand this, because you don’t live here, but every „Bundesland“ (state) in Germany has it’s own cultures, dialects and even recognized languages that the people from this specific part of the country identify with. For many people outside of Bavaria it’s even considered insulting to assume that Lederhosen, Dirndls and yodeling is part of their culture, because it concludes that someone is frumpy, backwards and rural & like I said they don’t identify with it bc this culture is not practiced in their region. But I agree with you 100% that rap music is awful.

@@linajurgensen4698 I am glad we both agree rap-music is rubbish. But I have travelled widely in Germany since 1966. I fully understand the difference in culture. I have been to music festivals in Koln, Duesseldorf (Die Alt Weiber Musik Fest) and Octoberfest. When I worked in Dusseldorf the German folk laughed and ridiculed me when I said I enjoyed yodelling songs.

I don't know from which year is this song from, but I love it. German folk songs with beautiful countryside and gorgeous cloth what not to love. Been to Germany already four times and four times in southern Germany. Driving and listening not just folk songs but classic as well is like no other.
