What a track..I remember hearing back in 98 as a student in naples Italy, 3 in the morning..lost where u cant get back..I miss these days..

You miss those days too. Don't waste any time missing em. Cause in 20 years you'd give anything to have these days. Would hate to look back and see I spent any time wishing for another time. Cause it ain't happening

@ProjectSmammi what I looovee about this song is that it sounds so simple, but the textures are so nice and it's structured so perfectly. I like how the beat constantly changes thru-out the track (but it's barely noticeable). Like the beats switch back and forth from 2 hits + 3 hits to 2 hits + 2 hits. And how other layers perfectly come into the track and just slowly build upon each other.

There is elusive meaning in rhythm and suggestive melody. A hint of purpose, of deeper causality flickers. The still and cold waters of my heart hold a reflective shield against the world. A flash of metallic silver hints below the surface. Underneath, deep greens and blue rise from the murky black. Some kind of life stirs magic in the swirls of the frozen depths. Blue sky spins above, becoming purple and be-speckled black. Some error in the system of my humanity halts and something stutters to life. Some broken piece finds a way to move again. Like a toy, it totters strangely on its own. A forgotten part of being. It comes alive for a while then goes back to sleep. I remember now. It's sore but I'm happy for knowing it again. My feet on the surface of the ice, looking down. Flashes of color in the dark. The summer heat is blown away by the cold of the coming season. Another cycle, same as before, but changed by the course of time. Some flash of meaning shines for a second then is gone.

got this tune on vinyl and saw something printed on the inside of the sleeve, curious i tried to get a closer look, ten minutes later the sleeve was unglued,spread eagled with me hunched over it reading "if you got this far you're a sad trainspotter" anyone else suffer the same fate?
@Thermospore4 жыл бұрын
lol on autechre's amber LP they have something like "fuck trainspotters" carved in the runout

and to think the majority of people out there would say the same about this... i'm not saying you're incorrect, just that it's different strokes. all music sucks to somebody. i love autechre/gescom and plaid but also the likes of μ-ziq and venetian snares all the while a straight 4/4 beat gives me a headache.
