The re-formating of the F-1 display, having the focus be the engine bell extension and not the turbo pump assembly is telling. The new Smithsonian is shiny lights, bright colors, and a focus on the trending gender or color of the accomplishment, not its universal significance to human air and space development. This display looks impressive, but its bones are a reflection of deep social and technological decay..
