Love the video and wish I had attended the event. Happy that I have read at least one of these books - the thousand splendid suns. Its very well written but extremely heart breaking, and sad. What's sadder is the fact that it's based on reality. Hussaini managed to portray the terrible condition of Afghan women in Taliban rule so vividly you almost feel their pain while reading the words. Great book. Grapes of wrath, I've watched as a movie or a play. It's a classic. A query: Are these brand new books or pre-loved ones?
