Get Colored Contour Mapping on your Lowrance with Navionics Relief Shading

Thanks, Josh. You are the "go to guy" when it comes to Navionics. I first got my Navionics several years ago for my Lowrance EliteTi after watching one of your videos. I ordered and uploaded my latest Hotmaps Platinum card after watching this video. Now, if I could just set it up. My EliteTi doesn't have a "more options" on my menu, so I'm dead in the water as far as using the new Relief Shading. I'm bummed.

I have successfully added relief shading to my elite ti. the menu on the ti is not the same as the menu on the unit in this video. if you play around with it you will find the overlay and transparency options

What about relief shading from cmap reveal? Is it better?

Hi I am from New zealand and watched this and found it very good thank you.i do have a question ,when I and trolling slowly my sonar chart seems leave a dark tail where I have been ,it goes from both sides of my boat symbol and sort of blacks out where iv been . If fishing a small area it's hard now to see chart details .do you know why this is ? Can I disable something to get rid of it? Cheers Trevor

Josh what do you like better relief shading or c-map saw you had both in your unit what do you prefer more

Navionics is what I’ve used since I first started fishing tourneys 8 years ago. I’ve looked at others as comparisons and have def seen some nice maps there too but for me Navionics just has more data and better features like Relief Shading. The C Map you’re referring to is just preloaded into my Lowrance and honestly haven’t looked at it yet. I always stand by, more options the better. That goes for mapping too!

Hey Josh, gonna buy my first Navionics card. I have FS Elite system on my boat. I was looking at the website but I don't know if the hot maps will work with my units. Is there a number I can call for customer service or can you advise?

I just went to Navionics.com and though Relief Shading is a new feature if I’m not mistaken, your unit is compatible. I’d check with Navionics customer service to verify first though.

@@JoshDouglasFishing Yeah i lost my first one so i just paid for another card, but dang that relief shading is very cool. Unfortunately there are only 3 lakes in washington state it looks like where it's even possible. Btw love your content, keep it up!
