Very helpful video as I was trying to colour grade my Swiss travel videos shot by DJI Action 4... Amazing! Do you have any more LUTs for Action 4?

@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Now replying from my channel :- ) the way you explained colour grading for a noob like me was exceptional, I have seen hours of youtube videos on Da Vinci but was lost on colour grading and this video was the answer! Can you please make a video just on colour grading in Da Vinci Resolve (not sure if you already have?)

Great tutorial, I am now considering getting the full version of Da Vinci Resolve. Would the motion blur be enough in Da Vinci Resolve as per this video or d you still need to buy ND filters for the lens to get that motion blur?
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens4 ай бұрын
Hello! The motion blur in Davinci Resolve is good enough. Also ND filters don't work well with camera electronic stabilisation so it's a win win situation. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Pro tip: if you are using double framerate with double motion blur, there will be less motion artifacts in the final image. If you are shooting 60 fps, the value set around 70 will give you around 1/48th shutter motion blur. With 24 fps timeline, optical flow (standard faster enough for optimal frame retiming) value 70 motion blur the results are great from 60fps source. The depth map tip is a great idea, subscribed. Can you share few samples from original DLOG-M for colorgrading practice?

Nice, informative video, but not sure I want to go through all that, yet. Maybe later, I think the quality of video out of the camera is good enough for what I need at the moment. But have saved this vid just in case I decide to try colour grading etc. Thank you for the video.

Any tips for getting smaller FOV? I hate that it’s so wide on action cameras and making things in front much smaller than it is, losing details when cropped
@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Жыл бұрын
Hello! Every camera shoots the widest FOV and then crops-in with Ultra wide, Wide, or Standard so cropping is the only way. On normal cameras we use different lenses to zoom in opticaly. I hope this helps ;) Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Unfortunately, it seems that you, like many, don't understand what "depth of field" means. Depth of field DOES NOT mean a blurry background. It refers to "acceptable range of sharpness". So DOF is the portion of the image that is "acceptably sharp" (not blurry). The same misuse is seen in the term "bokeh". Bokeh is NOT how out of focus something is. It is the QUALITY of the out focus spheres (hard vs soft edged, etc). Look it up. Educate yourself beyond a bunch of "experts" on KZbin, lol. All of that said, good video! I like it! Good pace and edits.
