Slade were fucking good! I was priviledged indeed to see them live - but on a big stage. I'm very jealous of my big Sister, though. Being a few years older she used to go and see them regularly in the early days when they had a Saturday night residency at the Connaught Hotel in Wolverhampton. 200 fans in a cramped basement club - Oh happy days! I asked her recently how well she remembered hearing them. She said very well, but you didn't really hear them, you more... FELT them! ;-)

Before Slade, people went to gigs and sat on the floor to watch the band. Slade get everybody up and rockin' out. An awesome band. I was lucky enough to see them live 3 times, the first time back in 1974. Even all these years later, they are still one of the finest live bands I've ever seen.

One of my first ever gigs was Slade at the Odeon in Birmingham UK back in April 74. I saw them a couple of time in the early 80's, too. One of the best live bands I've ever seen and this song was an encore and and absolute party. My dream is for them to get back together for one last tour. I know it's not goign to happen but I can dream.
