Get Drunk on The Holy Spirit

Do you know how many times the Bible calls us to be sober? This is a bad interpretation of the Bible.

Am curiouse how many disslikes preacher has :).And does he understand what he is talking about.The vrse is speaking about "controll"!!! Alcohol filled man is controlled by allcohol. And Spirit filled man is controlled by the Spirit!

Being "drunk in the Spirit" is not a biblical practice, but a blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

@@tenderheartedindividual6834 being drunk in the Spirit is biblical. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:17‭-‬20 NKJV For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. I Corinthians 12:13 NKJV Scripture likens drinking with being filled with the Holy Spirit. This means that we are to be so overcome with he Holy Spirit that it's not normal and people think we are drunk. Remember when the apostles were preaching at 9 in the morning and the crowd thought they were drunk. I'm sure they had to be acting crazy for others to think like that. I remembered this happening to me when I recently got saved. I was talking to my dad about Jesus and I started to feel joyful and laugh uncontrollably just thinking about the goodness of God and I start to walk and leaned on the door cuz I could not stand with all the joy in me. But my dad got scared and scolded me for laughing like that, I don't think he was born again at that time and I was about only 14 years old. But I didn't even know why I started laughing like that until I recently found out about being drunk in the Spirit

Being drunk according to Webster's dictionary, : dominated by an intense feeling, eg., drunk with rage. We can allow ourselves be dominated by the Holy Ghost to the point where we lose our inhibitions like in the Bible, 1 Sam 10:10, where Saul lost his inhibitions and prophesied without sense of shame because the Power of God came mightily upon him. He got drunk in the Holy Ghost! Let's not get carried away with a sense of "spirituality" that we miss the point here. Let's all submit to the Holy Spirit and watch HIM glorify God in our lives.
