Covishield is valid but not the covishield certificate. As of now you will still need to book 2 tests and also need to do pre-departure test from India. Vaccine is recognised but not the certificate because the certificate issued doesn't have the date of birth as required by the WHO guidelines. Yes, you must isolate at home according to the rules applicable at the time of writing this comment.

Thanks for your previous comment ☺ A lot depends on the airline staff really. Some let you off with 3 kg over the limit while some are very strict and don't allow even 500 grams over the weight light. Better you make it 23. Again the scale you've used at home might differ from the one being used at the counter. You'll see scales ⚖ at the airport so you can double check. I've flown with British Airways with a handbag 👜 4 kg over the limit and they said nothing while with Lufthansa, they objected 600 gram over the limit bangalore to Germany and in Germany they said nothing when I added more stuff to the handbag for Germany to England. I mean it is down to the person but risk is not worth taking. You can take the test any time in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs. For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you could take a test any time on the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The test result must be available for boarding.

Not many people do web check in so you can save a lot of time by doing it at home. For India to uk flight, you won't get boarding pass at home but for uk to india you can get them printed at home. This way you will be able to make sure that the seat you wanted is guaranteed. Seat selection will be open for to 24 hours before flight so you and your daughter can make sure you have seats next to each other.

Also if you have got another connecting flight in the UK, you can choose its seats too using the seat map. Young people love the window seat. If so, then you can lock your seat by checking in online using Web check in.

Not true for Indian's. COVISHIELD or other vaccine in India are not approved by UK. AstraZeneca has been approved there and if you have taken both doses of your vaccine (AstraZeneca) then and you belong to a green list country then you don't need to quarantine as per the guidelines now.

Hi Ritwik, I am going UK in September. I have a Jio sim now. Will it work on UK just to receive OTP in normal indian recharge, without recharging any costly international roaming pack? or I have to port to other operators? Which will be better? Airtel or VI ?

Using Airtel for OTPs... And it's smooth ...you need to enable international roaming without any plans

For Indian food order from a website called red rickshaw. They deliver all over the UK. It is good to order as a group because there are delivery charges and charges are same when you order for less or more. So better more than oner person orders grocery at one address. Amazon also delivers grocery same day using morrisons. Uber Eats also delivers grocery within an hour Tesco, sainsburys, ASDA, waitrose, ocado. They all delivery but don't do so same day. You've to chose a slot and may have to pay for that slot (usually 2 - 5 pounds) and get as much as you want. I will say use amazon, they deliver same day. For Indian stuff its red rickshaw.
