I always enjoy watching you do your makeup Helen. Because of skin problems I have to stick to a regime set down by a dermatologist. However like you I could never go out without something on my skin. I stick to moisturiser, concealer and blusher. I used to have black eyelashes but like my hair they're going a bit white so I touch them up lightly with a bit of mascara. Isn't life grand when we get older! 😅 🎉

Hi Helen , enjoyed the make up tutorial . I use No 7 stay perfect , it covers well for my skin , and there day cream , which has retinal in it , & a sun protection cream after , I’m 10 years older than you 🙈. But what we have done to our skin when we were younger , I’m afraid does catch up with you, when you hit the 70s 😂. After watching you last night , I made the chicken & cauliflower dish , in my airfryer , very tasty 😋. 👍. So Thankyou for sharing . 😘

You have a lovely skin Helen. Your makeup looked really nice and natural. I always use my fingers for foundation, you can feel how you're putting it on and it's easier to even it out. I feel eyeshadow brushes sometimes flick the shadow around a bit. I also always use a soft Kohl pencil I find it gentle on the eyes. Less is more as they say. Thank you Helen.

I am 76 years old and in my working life and was expected to have full make on and also well dressed. Since I retired ten years ago I have only worn makeup once and that was for my Grandsons wedding I am very fortunate to have really good skin and hair I always moisture twice a day with a really good moisturiser, the freedom that being makeup free is fantastic. On saying that I think you ladies who wear makeup daily are amazing I still like to see a lady with a well made up face it’s just not for me

Helen, I just came to the conclusion that lately when I’ve put my foundation on that it gives me a much better finish and look when I use my fingers. I’ve always used a foundation brush! I will be 64 in March, and thankfully have good skin, but it’s very sensitive. I find that the Maybelline FIT ME Foundation in the Matte formula works best for me and it’s thankfully affordable! Lookin good as always Helen!!! 💕👍🏼

I never tire of watching you put on makeup. I'm 75 and am sort of a newbie. I only have worn makeup when going out. PLEASE GO SLOWER WHEN YOU ARE SHOWING THE PRODUCTS; PARTICULARLY THE EYE SHADOWS. Hi Sassy, I've attached a link to a palette. Not sure if you can get it where you are, but you can find similar I'm sure. In this palette I would use the first colour on the left as the base, then the third colour as the darker shade in the crease and then the fourth colour on a thin brush for the 'eyeliner' effect. Nice make up but there’s one thing I’ve noticed a few times when you’ve done this and it’s the fact that you don’t put foundation on your forehead which then looks different to the rest of your face. Is there a reason for this, I’ve often wondered ?

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't once my fringe is down it doesn't make much difference. Usually I just use the last bit left on my brush or fingers. xx

Ps Helen I was at a work well-being crafting event recently and the bench I was on had black ink down the side which ruined a good coat. They offered to replace it which would’ve been £165 ( they’re still made) but as it was old, although great condition, I looked on Vinted and got the same coat in a good colour for £40! Win win for all concerned. Got me thinking how a Vinted haul might be interesting on your channel…downside being returns not so straightforward..probably have to re-sell..but just an idea for you to mull over! ❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤

I always put my makeup on with my fingers except for my eyes. Sometimes I try a brush but it seems I have to keep putting more and more on, not sure if it’s the truth or just feels like it’s taking it off. Haha.
