Really! And an apology for the camera angle-- and nothing done to solve the issue. Great site, wonderful lessons.

Dental Medic got me to subscribe. You are the absolute first person I have seen that had this item in your kit. There is NOTHING worse than a toothache in the field. 50 miles from nowhere, I would rather break my leg than a tooth. Outstanding kit! 👍🏻👍🏻

Loved your set up. The only 2 things that concern me are Some sort of Shelter, Even a good poncho would suffice and 2nd would be a Firearm, Could be that where you are that they are frowned upon, Otherwise Great Job. 9.5 outta 10.

The Silcock key is heavy. A multi-tool with needle nose pliers will open any Silcock and is more useful.

Just a suggestion for size and weight I personally carry a sewing kit I received complimentary from a comfort inn its not big but for get home purpose it can fix a strap or something small. Not made for long term but neither are these bags.

i MYSELF DID HAVE A p38 CAN OPENER IN MY GHBag until I remembered that I already had a can opener in my multi tool. No need for the can opener anyway since I carry the lifeboat rations which I can eat on the move. A plastic water bottle and purification tabs plus a bandana fills the need for water and eliminates the need for a stainless steel jug and nesting cup. A slim spray pen of repel for bugs and mosquitoes, a small bottle of "new skin"and a few large band aids , a couple of gauze pads, a pack of clotting graduals , some medical tape will suffice for medical needs in this GHBag. My 3.5" full tang fixed blade knife and a smiths' knife sharpener/whistle/feral rod fire starter and some matches and drier lint in a small water proof bottle and a compass with a magnifying glass and a bic lighter round out the fire kit. A water proof bivy and my CCW round out this small 72 hour kit. Optionally a small filter straw can be added if desired. Lite for on the go in a cloth tackle bag with a shoulder strap.

I like your kit. I wouldn't use a bivy bag though. I wouldn't want to be in a bag if I had to jump and run. I pack a rain poncho and liner.
@benworkman1773 жыл бұрын
@@laremyzaring8568 good choice on the poncho and liner but in my choice of the bivy it was in the interest of keeping it small enough to carry. I am now 77 years old and mobility challenged so there is no jumping or running room for that scenario. Ha ha..

I am a believer in adding some cash just for emergencies - a few coins if you need to make a call or even if you left your wallet at home. Perhaps you are needing something to buy, $50.00 in small notes will give you a bit of help.

Since the bag stays in the vehicle, it stays very low profile. Therefore the type of bag doesn't matter. You put in many useful items but I didn't see Prescription Meds, a Map, or the mighty Heavy Duty Garbage Bag. I urge you to fill the canteen 3/4 now, while you're not in a high pressure situation.

You are wrong. Trust me, I went through Katrina. With hundreds of people around, that pack (which I own and love) would stick out. There are way too many little pink or diaper bags for the criminals to care about. You’d be jumped in 10 seconds.
