Turn-Key Solutions, a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, engineered a robotic deburring system using three FANUC M-20iD/25 robots and one FANUC LR Mate 200iD/14L to deburr and assemble main bearing caps.
How the System works:
Each CNC machine has a FANUC M-20iD/25 material handling robot stationed in front for loading and unloading parts from the infeed conveyor. After the raw part is machined and unloaded, the robot moves to a deburring head to remove any burrs. Once deburring is complete, the robot places the part onto the outfeed conveyor where the FANUC LR Mate 200iD/14L robot unloads parts from both conveyors and loads the washer. If specific parts are needed, the robot will stop picking from the outfeed conveyors and instead pick parts from a short indexing alternated infeed conveyor. At the end of the washer, another FANUC M-20iD/25 robot unloads the washer and loads the dowel press machine. Additionally, this robot handles rejected or faulted parts, placing them onto a customer-supplied gravity roller conveyor.

FANUC M-20iD/25
Offering high performance in a small footprint, the FANUC M-20iD/25 medium payload robot is ideally suited to loading and unloading machines as well as parts handling and positioning in crowded factory environments. For best access, it features a compact arm and wrist and, thanks to its improved design and drive train, offers significantly higher axis speeds and motion performance. With an increased active stroke of 1831 mm, it offers a generous working envelope, with better rigidity translating to improved repeatability of ± 0.02 mm. To prevent snagging and improve reliability, cable routing is internal. By combining performance with reliability, the FANUC M-20iD/25 maximizes throughput leading to higher profitability. Installation is easy and running costs are low.
FANUC LR Mate 200iD/14L
An enhanced, compact mechanical construction allows the highest payload of the LR Mate series of tabletop robots. Offering an exceptional weight-payload ratio with a weight of 27 kg and payload of 14 kg, this model is ideal for compact robot cells, production lines and installation directly into or onto machines. With its very high moment of inertia at wrist it is the perfect solution for high productivity robotic handling, robotic machine tending and robotic assembly applications.
