I found a clump in a cow pasture, and potted it up. Was not disappointed. Thank you Heather.

I’ve started to add it to my turf in Florida. It grows slow in my yard, my suggestion is plug it in different spots over time and see where it does best.

I found a single stem in a “no mow” zone in my backyard about a week ago. The flowers have just fallen off and 3 green bumps (I presume seed pods) are growing. When can I harvest the seeds? Thank you!

Harvest seeds when the pods wrinkle.

Does it spread? If so how?

They do produce seed pods but rarely do I see them produce seedlings. The fastest way to spread them is by dividing the main clump. It mainly grows by growing a bigger clump each year. There are also different types. I believe the Lucerne is the purple flower variety which does not spread as easily as the true blue flowered grass.

How long does it bloom?

Mine blooms from Early April to June. Most of its flowers will be in spring.
