I just saw in another thread where some guy was defending him saying the girl gave consent to everything... And the scariest part was he said: "If someone accused me of rape, I'd post the sex video too!" ..... The guy on the show didn't learn the lesson that maybe he shouldn't be sleeping with highly intoxicated women; but instead chose to be smug to the woman who truly BELIEVED he raped her.
@sanataj3 ай бұрын
@@VladmirPoopN You can't consent when intoxicated. That is at the very least taking advantage of someone. Why do you think predators ply victims with alcohol, including children. Or use a date-rape drug? There are so many predators out there and they get away with it. The rate of conviction here (UK) is about 2% and that is the few cases that are reported. Revenge porn has only just been made illegal here. Why are all these sleaze-bags making videos? Do the victims even know? Self-esteem issues make women vulnerable, but just because they are over 18, nobody cares. There is still a stigma against promiscuous women.

I hate when people choose the door where an abuser is waiting for them. SMFH.
@melt_brain4 ай бұрын
it's an intimidation tactic after years and years of trauma. they could be dating for just a few months, but abuse can weigh on a person to the point where it feels like years. if you would have told me to choose a door with my last partner, i was so intimidated and feared this man, i would have chosen that door for fear he'd find me and make me come back. i'm not sticking up for the decision they made, because it was inherently wrong, but these people go through hell. and the audience booing them makes them feel worse, because they know deep down they made the wrong decision, but they physically cannot escape them without police or other authority. it's horrible. abuse is scarring, physically and emotionally. i may not have the physical scars, but i have the emotional ones. my current partner has guided me through PTSD, through depressive episodes that last hours, panic attacks that leave me breathless and weak, and i've even passed out during one. it's heartbreaking. it's painful. that type of trauma lingers for years. no amount of therapy can heal those wounds that feel like they stab you in every sensitive place. you can be frustrated, because i am, too, only because i escaped thanks to my college experience. i escaped through luck and a massive figurative slap to the face. other people, especially those with no stable support system, don't get to experience the support of that metaphorical slap to the face that wakes you up. i'm pissed off at them for staying with them, but i sympathize with them, because it hurts leaving them; it hurts because you're scared they'll find a way back to you that won't end with kisses and hugs. it'll end with pulling hair and hitting and threats unlike any other.

@@crayCray420 oh, absolutely! i wholeheartedly agree with you. i am fortunate enough to not have children currently, because i know that if i were to have had kids with him, the abuse would have gone to them. if i stayed with him with children, my comment would have gotten ten times worse of replies. i don't feel any sympathy for abuse victims who let it happen to their children. my mother was a victim of abuse also, and the minute it happened to us, she left immediately, even if it meant harm was put worse on her. but i know damn well that children already don't need to be put in a home like that, but sometimes, abusers wait until pregnancy or even after to show their true colors, and if it happens to children, LEAVE! i got LUCKY. that was all it was. i know that i if hadn't continued on the road i was going, i would have stayed with him and gotten married and have had to throw my entire life away for him. college and scholarships? no way. i couldn't go out of state for college, because he was afraid i'd cheat on him. he was cheating on me the entire time, so it was funny when he brought that up. it was awful. i wouldn't wish that on anybody. it's awful. deplorable.
@melt_brain4 ай бұрын
@@lorilaurent1043 thank you, so much. i'm not one for the whole sympathy card, but when it comes to abuse, sometimes the only thing a person can get is sympathy, because nothing else seems to build them up enough to leave and find their self worth. but for me, i was fortunate to have that small enough support system that helped me. i had two friends. TWO. i spent two years in community college, and i had two friends during the point of my breakup. i leave him, and the "support" flooded in. it was disgusting. now that i managed to leave and find that courage to build myself up to the point of getting better, the support i've been getting is phenomenal. people i can trust have shown that they've been here for me. i wish every abuse victim that has ever felt the need to stay with their partners gets that courage to fight and leave, because it isn't what someone like them deserves.
