How do you judge a boat sailing performance from a video? All of those videos are useless, just go and have a look at the endless discussion on every stormy weather video and how strong or Weak the wind and waves are!

@@muumoo111 Being able to see the sea state and also get factual numbers like wind speed, current speed and boat speed and also the sail set up can give an experienced sailor a clear picture of a boats performance capabilities.

Hopefully I don’t come off sarcastic, but I’ve got a noob question. Almost everything I know about sailing has come from KZbin. So here goes, why does the sailing community seem so hung up on performance numbers? From my perspective, if you’re in a hurry take a plane, car, motorboat, etc. I mean what’s the difference if you’re able to do 2 or 3 kts more in a “high performance” cat vs. “Luxury Condo” cat? In real world sailing, how much does it effect the overall enjoyment of the activity? Also, how big of a effect do the captains/crew members decision’s have on these numbers say over the course of an ocean crossing? I know it’s a lot to ask, but I appreciate any feedback experienced sailors can provide. Thanks and Cheers!

@@coop3014 In my opinion, generally speaking, the 'speed" and performance numbers importance are greatly exagerated. Alot of it comes from the paid KZbinrs like Vagabonde and their sponsor who paid them to promote their catamaran and constantly talk about how much sailors need "fast" boats.

I love the helm position of this boat. I really don’t like how helms on larger catamarans are always on a flybridge. Excellent boat !!

whyyyyy in the name of baby jesus would you not send your most anticipated boat to cannes? The only thing people are interested in is the new forward cockpit layout, especially people that are buying for charter which is your majority target market and also majority European. Oh my days

@@pred7949 what? I just pointed out the obvious! Boat builders ask customers to provide a boat for an event, customers can say no, so the company end up with whatever boat the owner said yes, very few companies will build a boat just to show it at events
