It's so annoying to hear that people who can evacuate are not. People who can't want to. And the emergency services and first responders are caught in the middle.

Some people have storm shelters on their property. They want to be ON their property so they can immediately do any repairs to roofs, etc…. Also, when many people leave their homes, lots of theft happens. Most people have experienced hurricanes for their whole lives, know what to do, how to prep. As long as u r not in a mobile home or something similar, you can stay safely if prepared, and if you are not ON the coast or 10 miles of it.

Don't worry. After Katrina the Province of Ontario forced cities to buy a new insurance policy with flooding coverage that raised the price of a $30,000 policy to $300,000. Ontario taxpayers subsidized the reconstruction of that city.

So 9 of you came to tell everyone they should leave ? Lol, isn't there something better the other 8 could be doing. I guess the old school thought was you need to get up in front of the citizens and let them know your doing your job. Current times dictates you guys should just keep working and release a tiktok video of you doing so.

@@oneANGRYelf I guess you don't remember Katrina. Mortality rate for black people was four times that of white people. Over half the people who died were black. I want to know what this all white group of leaders is going to do to protect the black people who can't afford to get out of the way of the hurricane.
