@jaeminseo FYI- she is not just a TV judge. She was a law professor and a PROSECUTOR in the state of Flrodia and a judge long before they asked her to do The People's Court. He was the idiot, pompously mouthing off to the judge, she was not unprofessional, she straightened him out on how to respect the position of judge. Looks like the vast majority agrees. If you don't see it that way, well okay... I can't help ya.

You're right. To show otherwise is of the utmost disrespect. He needed a verbal lashing and Judge Milian is the kind of person that can give such a lashing.

A judge is in charge of he court room, and the authority given to her needs to be respected so that the legal process can be maintained. That is the key. On the other hand however, the manner of this judge shows she is defending more her own cause rather than the process. This is a demonstration of abusing public power given to an official. She might enjoy becoming a celebrity by doing so but she is downgrading the system.

Who has the authority and demands the most respect depends on the situation and in the courtroom, that's the judge. Judges can be wrong. No one ever said they're demigods. That's why you can take it to another judge to decide. Look up the clip where Judge Milian explodes at the law student who tells her "That's your opinion".

Why is it that in this country of the people, by the people and for the people, you either kiss the law enforcements, judge's, or politician's ass or your going to lose. The entire reason that this nation was established was to eliminate the class structure, have a government work for us, and to institute a society where each person is born with rights. That Judge was out of line, but this is tv court it's a 3 ring circus. You don't call a grown man "honey" in a court of law. That's disgusting, but what was so damn hilarious was her pmsing all over the place while the Dr. just kept his cool. That's why she freaked out like that. I LOVE Judge Milian, BUT I seem to remember her SCREAMING at SEVERAL defendants for calling her "Ma'am" or "Miss" instead of "Judge" or "Your honor" so I kind of think it was a LITTLE bit of a lapse in HER judgement to call a defendant "Honey"...That seems unprofessional to me if SHE demands the same respect. Again, I LOVE her and 99.9% of the time she is spot on, but this time just bothered me that she called the guy "honey." I'd be pissed too.
