Those people arguing never truly appreciate these two legends, who are basically the modern-day reincarnations of icons like Maradona and Pele. As unlikely as it is, please stop the arguments and appreciate and admire these two, don’t try to make one worse or better than the other. To be fair...the relationship between England and Argentina as a whole can be summed up thus: They'll never forgive us for the Falklands War(part of Maradona's motivation in the first place) and we'll never forgive them for the Hand of God! It was certainly the first moment of its kind like that. As someone too young to remember that moment in time...I can still appreciate Maradona as the guy who was probably still the most famous footballer of the planet when I was a kid just getting into the game. RIP!

I think it’s ridiculous for whoever is still bothered by that goal ............ the game was 90 minutes 1. Keeper shouldn’t be out-jumped by a smaller man And beat to a ball that he can simply use his hands for 2. If you go back and watch the game England had chances to score and they didn’t put there chances away plain and simple If you score more and take your chances you win the match it’s not rocket science ....... you wanna know how you solve this problem.....go score that way you won’t have to rely on a flawed referee

It's easy for him to say get over it when the status of that England national side was that they were good enough to get to the final of that world Cup if not win it. Ireland's position against France was that they lost out on the chance to be in the competition (which is a lot lesser then being good enough to win the whole thing or at least get in the final). But what Maradona did, did change history. But fair play dude is undoubtedly a legend and football has become a lot more boring without him! He's a proper character and a footballing phenomenon!
