To be fair...the relationship between England and Argentina as a whole can be summed up thus: They'll never forgive us for the Falklands War(part of Maradona's motivation in the first place) and we'll never forgive them for the Hand of God! It was certainly the first moment of its kind like that. It's easy for him to say get over it when the status of that England national side was that they were good enough to get to the final of that world Cup if not win it. Ireland's position against France was that they lost out on the chance to be in the competition (which is a lot lesser then being good enough to win the whole thing or at least get in the final). But what Maradona did, did change history. But fair play dude is undoubtedly a legend and football has become a lot more boring without him! He's a proper character and a footballing phenomenon!
