How does Big Jim differ from Marc Strong? I believe they were both Mattel?

I always though the name of the toy line was Big Jim and Mark Strong was one of the characters in that toy range, but it turns out they gave Big Jim different names in different territories, like Europe, England and South America, so it turns out there is almost no difference at all between the two, other than changes to hair colour and names to get them to perform better sales wise across the world.
