It doesn’t matter that God has no limits! I do! I asked him for a wife. Now, I’m 40. I’m too old to get married, now. Even if God gave me a wife, it won’t change the fact that I’m too old to be able to start a family. I’d have to ask God for a lot more than just a wife, for that prayer to even work. Unfortunately, I can’t even hear God’s voice, so I don’t even know if he’s answered the first prayer, let alone whether he’ll answer any others. I don’t know if prayers even work for me. I’ve never got an answer to one.

It’s never too late for him to do it for you. It seems too late from your angle of view. Don’t know how much you really know about God, and I don’t mean that in a condescending way. But many times, God waits till it looks absolutely useless and pointless from our point of view before he does what we asked him for. I know about this very well, I’ve been praying for things for 15 years, I’m now 52, but many times in the Bible, God waited till it was way too late as far as Man was concerned, but God has a way of reversing time for you and giving you way more than you ever thought, or prayed for. Believe and trust him, even whenever it looks useless, ridiculous, way out of bounds, way too late, it looks dead, it looks hopeless, he has a way for you. Don’t know if you know about the story of Lazarus in the Bible, but he died and his sister came and finally found Jesus in a town somewhere, she asked him to come Hill, her brother, and Jesus agreed that he would come and heal her brother, well in the meantime, her brother ended up dying, and whenever he Jesus finally got there he was four days late, and why her sister was quite upset with Jesus about the whole situation. But what Jesus had in mind was a resurrection and not a healing. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead right there. Many things in life that we have prayed for and desired look absolutely dead, no way around the situation, no way through the situation, and no way under the situation, it’s just an absolute possibility with Man, but it is never too late when God is involved. And here I am telling you all of this, and I have to remind myself of this every day of my life for the last 15 years of things that I have prayed for.

You're NOT too old!!!! I'll be 40 in two months and I LITERALLY just found my wife a few weeks ago. Repent of everything, if you fall, get up. If you fall again, get up! Now start getting ready. Pray for God to help you get ready. If you have had the desire to be married for a long time, you are probably still missing something that God had been trying to teach you for a long time. The way to your spouse isn't through seeking a spouse, it's through seeking God. It's super counter intuitive. As a side note, if you have been celibate for a long time, let me tell you the first week you are having sex regularly you will realize how worthless it is. You only think it matters because your idea of it is way better than what it actually is. The flesh profits nothing.
