I just bought myself the Quest 3 and I love it. So does my son. So much so that I bought him his own 3s. I was a bit worried about lenses but he’s 11 and he hasn’t had any issues so far. Loving the VR world so far. Still new to everything but its been pretty great.

New Quest 3 user here. My 70 year old non gamer dad convinced me to buy one he was so blown away after trying a friend's. I wasn't too keen on VR, as I hadn't familiarized myself. But I was blown away as well. I'm now a semi crazed Quest 3 fan and I have so much fun in vr. Of course I quickly found the king of vr on youtube (Matteo) and immediately subbed. From what I've gathered so far, I believe VR is going thru a sort of push toward the mainstream. Batman AS is amazing and is going to lead the charge. Amazing content Matteo, love what you do, never stop!

I'm getting all the new stuff coming and can't wait. Just got Maestro and wow, wonderful experience and could only happen in vr. The devs have really done a great job here. Batman better be 9/10 out of 10 after all the hype. So many great looking games in the chamber. What a great time for vr!

Augmented Empire looks great. I was, like you, pleasantly surprised by Witchblood, so I'm happy to see more older "classic" V.R games I've never heard of before turn up on the store.

An oldster who can barely be called a "casual" gamer... I just gotta testify that I updated from Quest 2 to Quest 3 and that was a very, very smart move on my part. It is so much more enjoyable on a number of levels. Resolution, responsiveness, comfort, and definitely the big memory not just for games/apps, but also music files for a couple of exercise apps that can use them. I like the passthrough better than a VR environment and mixed reality is... wonderful! And think... VR has only just begun! I like it!

The first MR thing I did was the little fuzzy ball creature things... jaw on floor. Have only had it a few days so still even just downloading, setting up, checking out!

Quest 3 is a huge upgrade over PSVR2 too. I can't go back to the VR2's awful fresnel lenses and high persistence blur OLED display. Q3 has a 'looking through a window-like' effect, where as every VR2 game looks as if there's a soft oily veil masking the clarity. If PSVR2 had Pancake Lenses and an LCD 'fald', or the exact sane LCD display as Q3 I'd keep it, but as is, it's just rough going back to it. Max Mustard looks so much sharper and clearer on Q3 too. If only i could magically connect my Q3 to a PS5 Pro. That would be the ultimate semi consumer friendly option, without resorting to PC.

VR seems like its more alive than ever. Inside of like a year and half we're getting a Metro game, a Batman game, an Alien game, Skydance Behemoth, Asgard's Wrath 2, the Meta Quest 3, the release of PS VR 2 for PC, and the Meta Quest 3S. Oh, not to mention Assassin's Creed Nexus VR. Sounds like a great year for VR! I really don't understand these people who claim VR is dead lol. It's growing a lot, mostly with standalone VR.

Hearing the quest 3s is toping sales charts is giving me high hopes for the platform and overall for the VR genre. Now how many new accounts are created from quest 3 purchases, how many are quest 2 users upgrading, and how many are returning to VR after a hiatus due to the limits of quest apps? Now we are getting full fledged big games with Batman, alien, metro as well as some good initial flat-2-vr ports coming is this the VR renaissance we’ve been waiting years for? We don’t know what’s coming next year even first quarter but the year is ending strong.

I got a psvr2 at launch, but I bought a quest 3 like 4 months ago. And im loving it more and more 😊 I use it for many things besides gaming. I love it so much, that im not sure on which headset I should get games like Behemoth, Metro and Alien. I know the games will look better on psvr2. But from what I have seen of gameplay from those games on quest, it looks just fine for me. The quest is so easy to put on and just enjoy vr. Im not sure what to do!

I love high powered VR like PSVR 2 and PCVR for sitting games like flying or driving, but any game that I'd prefer to play standing then standalone is my preferred choice. No wires and total freedom of movement just rocks

camouflaj is already working too hard already on batman to do a quest 3 update for iron man vr right now and they'll exclusively be working on arkham shadow for the next few months. perhaps they'll hop back on it after that

I think the 3S is a good entry level. I mean I was already into VR thanks to the Quest 2 so I was all for getting the Quest 3 and I love the pancake lenses. But for people just looking to enter the space, they aren't necessarily going to want to for out that much, especially if it just ends up gathering dust. Outside the lenses though the colour passthrough and the extra grunt of the Quest 3 hardware still make it well worth it. With the Quest 2 I used it pretty exclusively for PCVR and only played Beat Sabre and Pistol Whip on the headset itself. With the Quest 3 hardware though and games like Asgards Wrath 2 and Assassins Creed Nexus, the quality of the standalone games is really quite amazing. Its not PCVR good of course, but its good enough that most of my Quest 3 gaming has been on the headset itself. With Quest Games Optimizer running even older games can take advantage of the Quest 3s extra power. I think it will be a great entry level for VR for people who have never tried it before. It makes for a great standalone product that lets you get into VR without needing anything but the headset itself It lowers the barrier for entry by a lot. I hope it does really will. The larger the VR install base is, the more likely we are to get more fully fledged VR titles as its just more financially appealing to devs.

I Think the quest 3s is a great idea, it will move VR forward and leave behind the less powerful quest 2. We are going to see a huge improvement in VR standalone starting tommorow with batman.

Hi Matteo. I just got a meta quest 3s. 🎉 love it. Got a question you might be able to help with. When using headset in the dark. Hand tracking works great. But as soon as I pick up controllers I lose tracking. The ir illuminations glow red when hand tracking but turn off when I pick up controllers is this right. Do they only activate when hand tracking. Appreciate any 3s owners thoughts or experience.

1. It means that, unlike most independent or small game developers, Valve doesn't need to make Half Life Alyx compatible with the Quest to make their development money back; 2. It means that no one at Valve is interested in downgrading the graphics of their flagship game to make it so it can be played in a standalone headset--at least, not until standalone headsets' visuals' (though they're good for what they are) get a hell of a lot closer to Valve's PCVR-quality than they currently are. 3. It means that, if Valve converts Half Life: Alyx to a game that can be played wirelessly, you can bet your sweet bippy that they will NOT do so to make Meta more money. Rather, they will create a standalone version of the game for themselves, or possibly other partners whose VR headsets are as high-grade as Valve would be aiming to create--assuming Valve ever decides to turn the our wishful rumors into reality, and finally create a proper wireless headset.

XR Games are toast. After they completely botched Hitman III they were forced to lay off most of their employees. They haven't shipped any patches for Hitman since their day-4 patch a month ago. They have a zombie game in the pipeline as well and people who played it months ago said it was very bad. I wish them the best but they're just not good VR developers and there's no refuting that fact.

Of course. Most VR buyers are interested, but they're simply not going to spend $500 for a single headset. Don't get me wrong; I think the Quest 3 is worth the money, but most folks just don't yet see the Quest 3 the same way as they see either the PS5 or the XBox. Not yet.

Frenzies is just a mindless shooter really, the game modes are random the weapon mechanics are simple and arcade like. It is just a casual jump in jump out shooter with nothing really unique about it.
