Tati you dodged a bullet with guy number two. That’s the kind of man that can very easily turn violent and abusive. I’m so so glad you avoided that.
@dreambean.
@dreambean. 7 жыл бұрын
100% agree,I was thinking the exact same thing while she was talking about it.Slamming his fists on the steering wheel is a scary reaction to have over someone he basically just met not sleeping with him,and a huge indicator of violence / abuse.If that's how he acts towards a woman he barely knows,how much worse would he be once he felt comfortable that he had a hold on you? It's frightening to think how many men like him are out there :(

Cannot agree more!!! Those are ALL traits of a manipulating, controlling, abusive person. And they can be extremely charming and charismatic, -Jeckle and Hyde....extremely dangerous and yes, DODGED A HUGE BULLET!! God help the poor women he is with! Been there, barely survived, seriously! Ladies beware of these types!

About the "sushi" date, an important reminder is : a woman never owe a men sexe or whatever physical interactions because he offered dinner/anything. If you are not comfortable/ready to have that kind of intimacy with a men, you don't have to It is important to reminder because girls are always told to "reward" men's gifts, but they are not told it doesn't have to be at the expense of their personal desires

I full on sneezed a handful of snot into a guy's hand on our second date. We were in a movie and he had his arm around me, holding my left hand and I was coming down with a really bad flu (not that I knew that at the time) and I felt the sneeze coming and tried to yank my hand away to cover my nose/mouth (I'm left handed so my brain automatically waned the occupied hand) but it came too fast (that's what she said) and he didn't let go so I filled his hand with snot and slobber. Amazingly, he asked me out again even with my grossness, and he's been dealing with that grossness now for almost 19 years, 18 + of which we've been married.

Tati - I had a similar experience to your second date. A guy that got mad at me because I wouldn't go home with him after a great date. To anyone reading this: sex is not a transaction. Do not let someone pressure you into sex because they bought you a dinner or concert ticket, etc. Sex is never something you owe. If they get mad then they're telling you that they aren't worth your time.

I dated a guy that constantly let out little squeaky farts in public that smelled awful. I was always in a state of emotional turmoil because I had no clue how to react. He 100% ignored that I could hear and smell it and would just keep talking/eating/watching the movie. For some reason I didn't let that end our journey after 2 weeks of dealing with mouse farts. It took him saying that I sounded uneducated when I talk because I'm from Alabama and have a deep southern accent. To which I replied, "At least I don't FART every 10 seconds and smell like a barn animal!" I then left him to sit in his own toxic cloud of gas and breathed a sigh of relief as I power walked away never to smell him again.

Omg I've had too many experiences with men like Mr. Jekyll and Hyde who think that just because they bought us a nice dinner or put in a little bit of effort that it automatically entitles them to intimacy. And that if we don't give them what they want we're ungrateful. Because god forbid he treat us with respect and kindness without there being some kind of reward for him after.

Lol the first story reminded me of when my boyfriend at the time left me alone on my birthday. No phone call, no text, I got one text from him that day telling me he's coming so I got ready and waited on my couch. He never came. It was the most depressing birthday I've ever had. I just had a baby(my daughter is NOT his child), my family lived 3 hours away and had no money to come see me, I remember I cried like a baby mainly because I was going through post partum depression and to be left alone like that was a nightmare for me. turns out he was married and I was just a side chick but I had no clue. Needless to say we are not together. I'm so happy I eventually married a wonderful man :)

Christine I hate when guys do that because not all girls have sex on the first or the second date it would take a while before you have sex but most guys don’t see it that way at all they expect to get it that night. Witch is nasty and I don’t like guys like that. Before me and my husband got married when it was it the dating stage getting to know each other and what not he was so nice he didn’t care that I’m in a wheelchair he didn’t want to have sex if I wasn’t ready he waited for me to be ready.

My now husband took me out my first birthday dinner together to my fav restaurant, bbq. Well, I learned that day that he doesn’t take it well. After a terrifying trip back to his house he threw open the front door and screamed “Still love me!” As he ran down the hall. From the other end of the house I herd him going super sayian on that toilet. I’m an awkward person so I just sat there and tried not to make him more embarrassed, but I laughed the whole time he was in the bathroom.

Lol Okay, Tati. I really hope you see this... I’m 27 now. When I was a senior in college, I started dating a guy who I had been friends with for about three years. I met him as the boyfriend of a friend of mine, and never really thought of him that way until we had both been single for some time and it ended up just kind of happening on its own. We dated for probably three weeks before we finally had sex at my apartment. He gets up afterward and heads into the bathroom, and I’m laying there thinking, “Wow, he’s a really NICE guy!” and I’m like imagining where this is gonna go next, when he starts farting... SO loud. Loud, long, echoing, one right after the other type of farts. And I’m laying there like, not breathing, having no idea what to say or how to feel... and he starts maniacally laughing. So I started maniacally laughing. He comes out, and we are both just laughing way too hard to even acknowledge what just happened. He finally got back into bed with me and he goes, “Dude... I hope you know I held that in for you the entire time.” I married him three years later. He’s sleeping next to me now, another three years later. I’m eight months pregnant with our baby girl. Farts don’t always ruin everything. 😂😂

Once on a first date at a nice restaurant the guy somehow got on the subject of how white his legs were. I tried to be polite and said I’m sure they aren’t too pale and he goes “wanna bet????” He then popped his shoe and whole leg up on the table and pulled up the leg of his pants to reveal his scrawny calves for the whole restaurant to see. Something a family friend told me after finally escaping a terrible relationship was that she regretted settling for this guy who clearly didn't treat her right because she was 38 when they met and thought "well it's now or never." She said compared to what she experienced, never seemed like the better option in hindsight. I'm trying to keep that in mind for my life and hopefully just feel comfortable enough by myself that if I meet someone, great, if I don't, that's okay too.

One more story with farts. :D I hope you will enjoy as much as I did enjoy your stories :) So, we were dating for about 5-6 weeks, and we had a really great time. Laying in his dorm room, talking in the middle of the night, really romantic. Then he said "I love you", after just a couple of weeks of dating. I was kind of shocked, because I really liked him, but did not love him yet, so I immediately asked back "What? What did you say?". And than he replied with a poker face: "Nothing. I just farted". I started laughing so hard, I was literally crying... :D Two years later now, living together, loving him :)

My ex broke up with me for serving food to homeless people lol . . . So as we all know, regardless of what side you were on, the end of 2016 was ROUGH. I’m extremely liberal and my ex was very conservative, but we tried to make it work. Anyways, every year for Thanksgiving my family and I serve food at a homeless shelter. He saw on Snapchat that I was serving homeless people and broke things off the next day. He called me an “enabler” and told me that he’d rather tell a homeless person to go to hell than ever do anything for them. Boy bye ✌🏻 I don’t need that kind of negativity. I honestly laugh about it all the time now.

These stories have really shown me that I'm not alone on going to terrible dates. I've had three different guys do similar things in regards to expecting sex because they "spent money/time" on me. It's so scary that men are actually like that. So glad you found James, coincidentally I'm dating someone named James too and he's so awesome :) I loved this video!

Lizeth Manzano I always assume I pay for myself, but if someone insists, I let them. Their intentions with spending money on me doesn't excuse the behavior where they make me feel like I "owe" them. I don't ever assume the worst in people like your statement suggests to do.

I had that happen years ago. I was at a club, and I was sitting in a group and all of a sudden this guy sat with me and started buying my drinks. I kept telling him to stop, but he wouldn't, and since I was young and stupid....I didn't think much about it. Until he wanted to go home with me at the end of the night. He got REALLY upset because he had bought me 2 or 3 drinks. It was kind of scary. Sorry dude....but 3 drinks the first time I meet you does not = sex. Ugh.

yes of course it doesnt justify the bad intentions, and its not assuming the worst of people its being realistic. we live in a world where guys buy you drinks with drugs in them. personally i always set my rules and talk clearly before the date, like "i will pay for my own meal so respect that please", or "I dont do one night stands" or anything like that, it really helps to see how the guy reacts to that. I think its really necessary to do that now days.

Okay those stories were heartbreaking but nice being able to get to know you. You made a very good point after the 1st story. Ladies, girls, boys, whoever...please please I beg you, if you're not in a loving relationship where love is from both sides; leave! Once you start letting things slide it just gets worse b/c they know you'll tolerate it & wont leave so they start treating you like a doormat. You're so much better than that & deserve so much more. Never just settle b/c you think you can't do any better. Oh & if they ever lay a finger on you PLEASE leave right then & there & don't EVER look back!! I've been through it all, learned a lot & finally found the perfect person for me. He loves me w/ all my flaws, never tries to change me & still does sweet things for me everyday. It's been 10yrs now & I couldn't be happier!

Ahhhhh the second one gives me chills, which I've had a similar not as bad experience! After speaking for a while/going on dates me and this guy started making out, he tried to make a move and I said no I'm not ready, I didnt know him enough for me to be comfortable for that kind of thing. This led to an awkward few moments to which I had to go home because it got too uncomfortable with him looking at me like I'd offended all his ancestors, aaaaaand he never spoke to me again 😑 But then a month or so later I met the love of my life and we are now engaged 6 years later! Everything happens for a reason ❤

that story about the guy expecting sex for buying you dinner is horrible and genuinely upset me, I have had that happen when they are so nice and then they get so angry and belittle you. Unfortunately because I was so embarrassed and ashamed for saying no at first I gave in so he wouldnt hate me and I never even done that yet at the time and I really hate him for getting in my head and disrespecting me and I was actually depressed after that, sometimes people dont understand how severely their actions hurt.

I met my husband online, and I too had those really bad online dates... the bathroom story 😂😂😂 i think everyone has one. But my worst date was actually this guy I met at my friend’s church in college. He picked me up and we went to the dollar store first, he told me I could pick out anything I wanted (I’m laughing typing this) I told him it was okay, I was just looking forward to the movie. So we go to pick up the tickets and he has two free movie passes. It’s okay, he’s not a big spender, whatever. Well during the previews he starts having this conversation with me. I was polite but once the movie started and he didn’t stop talking it got really uncomfortable. The people behind us kept shushing but he was totally clueless. When he dropped me off he told me he had such a fun time and he felt like we really connected and wanted to take me out again. It was such an uncomfortable experience for me, but I had no idea how to express that without coming off as shallow. I guess if you want to get to know a girl, but are balling on a budget, take her for a beautiful walk, or take a tour of your city...

I LOVED this video! I really like it when you tell these kinds of stories, even (or especially!) the ones that are embarrassing, because it's sortof a reminder you're not just this beautiful glam youtuber. It really connects with me because I'm not someone who can buy high end makeup, I don't have a car, I'm still trying to get on my feet in life and find the right one for me, etc.--so I related to every one of your dating stories. I've literally been in your shoes in the first story, minus it being a birthday. It's refreshing to hear you talk about the times you were struggling or got caught in the rain waiting for the bus or whatever because it shows where you come from and what your attitude is. You always carry a level of gratitude for where you are and for your followers and that's one of the things I like about you. You haven't forgotten where you came from. I'd love to hear more stories about young Tati and what growing up was like for you. These get-ready clips are fun to watch. Thanks for another great video!

I went out with this guy that was friends with my best guy friend so I thought he'd be nice but he ended up being the most pretentious guy I've ever met. We went to a fancy steak restaurant where he ordered an expensive bottle of red wine but when it came to the table for him to taste he told the waiter that it wasn't chilled enough and asked for an ice bucket...for red wine!!!! I was mortified. Then before we were even through the salads he flat out said so since I'm buying this expensive dinner are we going to your place or mine!! I got up threw a $100 bill on the table, told him a nice red wine isn't supposed to be chilled and had the hostess call me a cab to go home. Needless to say I never saw him again!

I was driving to a date with this guy. First date. I was about half an hour away and had to get gas first which I told him when I left. It was also dark and raining out. I have cataracts which makes those conditions difficult for me to drive in so I also took it kind of slow. I don't answer my phone while driving for obvious reasons. So I get there, look at my phone and he's cussing me out about how I stood him up and if I didn't want to come I should have said so how I was ignoring him ect... Messaged him back saying there is no way in hell I'm going in because I didn't feel safe. He freaked out more. Turned around and went straight back home. Still don't regret that decision. It's clear he wasn't a very nice guy.

I feel for you Tati, and I would love to tell you my birthday story from probably about 4 years ago. I was living with several roommates and my boyfriend of the time. He was military, so it wasn't like he couldn't afford to go out. The day of my birthday I'm off, I thought maybe he would have something planned or would want to do something special with me, but the day was horrible. I wake up, make lunch for the both of us. He doesn't say happy birthday. He's on his computer gaming. So I decided to do my own thing. I'm so sad at this point. I thought maybe he would want to invest some time of his with me. But then he decides he wants to go shopping with one of my roommates as the local computer store. We get there and he asks me to pick out my own gift. Like, why can't you just surprise me? do something different? why does technology have to be the option and why do I have to choose it? so I try to pick my gift, he tells me what im picking is not the right thing. We argue in the middle of the store. He pretty much at that point makes me feel stupid and uneducated about computer accessories (a mouse and headphones were the choice). So I'm more upset than before, we head back home, and it turns out I was right and he was wrong. We start arguing again and I start to cry. He makes me feel worse that I'm crying, takes me back to the store and we exchange it for the one I originally had wanted. We go back home and hes right back to his computer. Maybe about an hour later, my roommate and his girlfriend invite us to go out to dinner. Still no plans from the boyfriend. He decides that he wants to go and doesn't even ask me what I would like to do. I just agree and try to suck it up. We finally get in his car, we're halfway to a place, and my roommates finally clue in that its my birthday and decided to have me choose the place. so we go to my place of work for dinner. I end up paying for my meal and my boyfriends. My roommates say we should go and get a cake and they feel sorry for not knowing sooner. My boyfriend ignores their suggestion, we go home and I end up crying in my bedroom while he sits on his computer for the rest of the night. I would say that was one of the worst interations we had when we were together, but We ended up splitting and months later I had to have the cops involved. He was super abusive and I wish I could have seen it... But like you said, you give every chance for a person you love to fix their mistakes. It takes experiences like that to know your own value and worth! If you or I hadn't have experienced those moments, we wouldnt be the people we are today, nor would you have found the one.

#2 is a narcassist. They do things to get your love and affection, and then when he didn't get what he felt was owed to him (in your pants) he turned on you trying to make you feel like you owed him something in return for his date. I fell in love with one, and now here I am...in misery. So glad you finally met James. Love ya Tati, I hope one day to get the hell out of here.

Get a plan with people who love you to support you, get out of there, block them on all social media and erase all pictures. Get them out of your mind and out of your life and you'll be surprised how happy you can be ❤️ wish you the best

It's not love if he's not giving you love, the occasional bit of affection amongst the misery isn't love. I'm so sorry you're in the situation, I've been there too and it only ended when he Legally Blonde style dumped me. My current partner is much more like James in how he treats me and I deserve it, so do you.

My own husband of four years never acknowledged Valentine's Day or my Birthday, or even our Anniversary. Never got a card, flowers or a gift. The one and only time he got me anything for Valentine's Day, he actually went and bought the day after while everything was on sale... it was a card..... I gave birth to his child and he never even treated me like I was worth anything. Finally walked away a year ago.. best thing I ever did for myself!
