It’s not buoyancy. The soap acts as a surfactant allowing the fleas to get covered in the solution and reduce the surface tension and sink.

Just a friendly heads up - it breaks the surface tension. Water likes to stick to itself, but when there is soap, which likes to stick to all kinds of things, it makes it harder for the water to stick to itself. This causes all manner of small insects that normally walk over water to get dunked.

You do know this doesn't kill the eggs, correct?...
@gearhead_automotive2031Ай бұрын
😱 no..... I thought once they drown everything dies. Wait but wouldn't the eggs hatch and they die too?

The eggs are in your carpet and or on your pet. After a couple of weeks you will have another generation. Persistence pays off.

@@joemannix7471 I give him flea treatment and getting rid of my carpet adding wood flooring to 100% of the house soon. This is the second time in 3 years over had this issue. I think he picks them up when we go on walks. Lots of cats and trays in my area

@@gearhead_automotive2031 The flea trap is to be used in conjunction with treating your pet. The beauty of the flea trap is its nontoxic nature. Actually if you set it between the sofa and the television, you can watch them leap to their deaths.

So do I wash my dog with it
@gearhead_automotive2031Ай бұрын
Fortunately for me my dog loves water so I bought a kiddy pool where he enjoys laying there. Most fleas die. We have a lot of cats in the neighborhood so he picks fleas up when we go on walks. I used to treat him with a flea treatment i bought at Costco but have not found it as of lately. So the answer is yes you can as long as you rinse the soap off after you're done.

Works better with hot water to imitate a warm body
