The 2024-01 Rollup installed successfully but 2024-02 did not. I'll post the error msg in a bit. Error popup window for KB5034819 - Server 2012 R2 Rollup: - Windows Update Standalone Installer - This update is not applicable to your computer.

It would be fun to make an ultimate Windows 8.1 PC. An i9-9980XE, 2 Quadro GP100s, 128GB of DDR4-4266MT/s, and 3 8TB PCIe M.2 SSDs. Would still cost you a good $4000 to build today. The CPU and GPU can be found for cheap but maxing out memory and storage will always be stupidly expensive to do.

Everything worked for me up until it was time to run the first of the two you download manually from Microsoft update. I checked the mini tool 3 times more just to be sure but it doesn't find anymore updates. Any suggestions?

This works on WIndows 8.1 Starter Edition. The feburary and march 2024 updates will not install. it says update is not applicable to this computer.

You have to install the KB5034866 before installing the february 2024 update.

Only updates I get now is malicious software update. Using 8.1 as main OS since 2014.

I have a different guide for Windows 7, however it stopped working, at least for me. Maybe someone at Microsoft saw my videos and patched the workaround lol.

UpdatePack7 is much easier and smaller to download. Basically a one-click installer. Last update was 2024.2.14

No, there are no windows 8.1 drivers for 30 series cards. I’ve heard that the windows 10 drivers should work though

Nope sorry. The Windows Server 2012 updates are only available for x64. I'd recommend trying Debian or another x86-supporting Linux distro.

You can try downgrade to windows 8, someone made a way to get updates like this one Just the minus is its Windows 8 RTM (not 8.1) and the option also available for x86 computers Or upgrade to windows 10....
