Although I’ve never even heard of this incident, I 100% agree with your assessment. Two things can true at the sane time. The cops used excessive force which took his life for which they must be held accountable but he first served himself up to them by trying to unalive a Black Woman.

I 💯 % agree with you, I was feeling conflicted but you expressed my feelings to a tee. It’s heartbreaking to see any human being treated in that matter but I couldn’t dismiss the events that got him there to begin with. The same way I will not be going to the Jan March with Rev. Sharpton, I’m tired of advocating for my people who don’t advocate for me. I’m at a point I can’t show up for myself and feeling just hopeless at this point. I hope this get better, don’t even do to much praying anymore.

I had to go find the video and pick back up afterwards. I could write a lot about this, but I know how you feel about that on your page so I’ll just say you are right. We shouldn’t ask women in our community to fight for men who have so terribly mistreated them and if black men feel this is a fight to be fought, we should fight it ourselves.
