Reminded me of a time some kid cut me off at a roundabout when he was supposed to yield. I wasn't too happy and gave the "wanker" gesture and as I made my exit he went all the way around the roundabout and started to follow me. Now, I don't live in the worst place in the world but it's also not known as the friendliest and in my head I thought he was coming for blood or something less than conversational. I had no gun so I was prepared to fight this guy with a socket wrench I had in my truck at the time if it came to it, and he pulled right up next to me and said, "Hey bro, I'm so sorry I didn't see you coming, I'll try to be more alert next time." I was shocked by this because most people would've let their ego take over, I just nodded at him and it was like I forgot to speak because I was so stunned by his kindness and just as he put the car in drive I said, "Hey man....thank you. Seriously, I appreciate that." It certainly changed my outlook in that not everyone is a prick. Easy to forget these days.

They still haven't been brought to justice and the kid was only 14. His dad found him in the driveway with bullet holes in his chest and not a single soul saw or heard anything. I see alot of video of drivers not seeing bikes and pulling out in front of them,, yeah they should be looking but they don't. one thing you can do is put auxiliary lighting on your bike (foglights, f'n bright ones). the nhsta did a study and found that if you have aux lights on your bike a drivers attention will be on you for a few milliseconds longer than if not. take every advantage you can. and if you drive a car WATCH FOR BIKES TOO.
