I ordered one and am awaiting delivery. I really like that these radios allow USB-C charging.

I got mine yesterday. The battery is DOA, completely and will not take a charge. I've emailed Tidradio, but it's the weekend, so I sit here with a new radio which will not turn on. Not a happy camper after waiting for it for almost a month.

on the repeater offset like you said, - is negative offset, +is positive.... off is simplex mode, no offset. I am sure you'll be kicking yourself for wondering once you' ve had a coffee. but I totally understand the excitement to get this video out and to play with the new toy late into the night.

the H8 does not have airband, but the H3 does

Would it be possible to do a video on step-by-step procedure to update firmware either TH-H3 or TH-H8? Only one video out there and the OP bricked the radio. Cannot miss a step. But not sure the exact steps. Thanks

Thanks!! Nice video! How can i save frequency 119,400 as a channel? I have tried with chirp and with the manufacturer's software, but I have not been able to, because an error appears: it is not a supported frequency. However, I can hear that frequency. thanks again!

I'm not super sure. Might be worth a firmware upgrade. I remember having some issue getting it into air mode.

I got one off amazon that came with 1 radio and two batts. 1 battery was DOA , other was fine. So I contacted support, phone number always busy, lol. Email was quick to reply and offered me a new battery , for free, just needed to give them my amazon order number. Great. Was programmed and working great and then I turned it off and went to bed. Woke up next day, turned it on and , whoa, it was killed a feature that you can use if it is stollen. Mine clearly was not so back to amazon it went . Sad because I really liked it. Both my Fengs 5rm and tidradio h8 are fine. So I dont know

Yes, but the H8 will do much more, and if you do not need airband recieve, that'll do it.

from Tidradio: On the H8, we offer support for mode switching. 🤔Many fans also want to know if H3 still supports it. So…… 😀Of course yes! H3 can still switch modes. You can follow these steps: Step1. With the radio off, press and hold on the PTT button and the “*” key and turn the power on. Then the screen will display the following text: 1. HAM 2. GMRS 3. NORMAL Step2. Choose the version you want to switch and press the corresponding key. ❗All data will be erased after the mode switch, please backup your channel data beforehand. #tidradio #tdh3 #radio #hamradio #gmrs #hamradiooperator

their website claims it can TX/RX across the 1.25m range of VHF, are you able to confirm that?

It allows me to enter frequencies in that range, but is not allowjng TX. I will play more and see what's up

@@fonephreak02 I've since received mine and after switching to unlock mode, and setting menu item 52 to "on" it does indeed TX on 1.25m, measured output about 1 watt. The caveat is that it won't let you program an offset on the radio, or via chirp (for now), but you can set the tx and rx w/ the appropriate repeater offset via the bluetooth app

1A is nice for charging, but I wonder why only 1A? most chargers for phones now are 2A or more, USB C charging can go basically as high as you want 65W-100W USB C for laptops is not uncommon, so given the large battery (compared to a cell) I would have thought it would charge faster.

Try the Radtel 490. GPS & BT Programming. Tip: don't run the GPS all the time, otherwise the audio sounds muffled.
