This is brilliant! Thank you! I'm a teacher and I super love and appreciate the teaching you're doing about using one's senses. I just finished making a one off batch of color to paint my butler's pantry, so I was deep into that zone - seeing the color I wanted in my head and trusting my gut about how to achieve it with just what I had on hand. It's a great head space to be in. Not many tutorials take the time to teach so viscerally. It's worth doing. (Also, lol, it brought to mind my grandmother teaching me how to cook, me looking for measuring tools and my grandmother measuring with her palm, fist, and fingertips and not being able to tell me exact measurements. Good thing our hands were the same size!)

This verdigris & rust combo totally looks like it belongs in a mermaid's home! I am just getting started painting furniture, but I will work up to this with time. I think it would be super pretty on ironwork or on a storage trunk. So inspiring!

Wow! A really detailed description. I so enjoyed this. I have some old wrought iron patio furniture I want to try this on. Also, I enjoyed seeing someone else’s hands that look like mine. It makes me feel so much better. Most of my friends have lovely manicures while I have short nails and hands and nails that always have stain and paint all over them despite scrubbing them with a brush. But my home and furniture looks like no one else’s. Thanks a bunch for the tutorial and for making me feel better about my different “manicure”.
@BellaRenovare3 жыл бұрын
do not feel bad!! I had my nails painted on a video once and they were chipped some ladies told me my nails were gross. SERIOUSLY?? If that is what is important to her I don't want her following me anyway right?? I can't do manicures, I would destroy them.

@@BellaRenovare I agree. Someone like that does not appreciate what you do and is not likely to benefit from your expert instruction. Most of my friends get me. That’s why they’re my friends. I am great full that you put yourself out there so that so many of us can watch and learn.

"Thank you" seems to feeble a phrase to express my gratitude. I've done my bedroom in a sea bed theme and this effect will be a perfect addition. I've gone way overboard in that room, but its my personal space and I deserve the self-indulgence.

Love your creativity! 💖💖 I’m going to be starting a kitchen island adapted from a dresser, but needed inspiration. I’ve watched so many of your videos to get great ideas that I’ve overwhelmed myself with too many wonderful possibilities! Now I’m starting all over again to narrow those possibilities down. I don’t think this one dresser could handle being stained, stamped, raised, chipped, crackled, textured, inlayed, decoupaged, distressed, etc.! 🤣😂🇨🇦

OK so on another piece you use the sea spray and I’m not sure that there was any patina in it now when you coupled it with the patina and I thought about the under the sea thing I was like that is incredible it really does emulate something that might’ve been discovered under the sea that’s what makes it so beautiful cause it’s so surreal so yes I do love it thank you so much for sharing everything that you do it means so much you have really been a great inspiration to me and I’ve literally gone out and spent $300 just on paint alone I’m that woman that lives in my car so I’ve done a little bit of thrifting not bought anything just allowing my own creative juices to marinate I have a couple of ideas and some of those are spring boarding off of other peoples creations it just doesn’t seem to stop I have some really beautiful ideas and I really pray that I’m able to make that transition from being a rideshare driver to being a Color creator I’m very excited about it I do want to thank you also AJ because she’s been awesome too yeah I think we really need each other and it’s great that you guys are sharing I know it helps grow the company and the line of products I know there’s a lot more to learn so I’m looking forward to it

Looks amazing! You have more patience than me 🤣. I have the Modern Masters patina set and I didn’t have enough paint in the tiny kit to do all of my planters. So I used really thin coats of everything and now it is peeling off. I’m wondering if I should just redo the whole thing but I don’t have enough paint to do that. So I may just reinforce the areas that need it. Anyway, you’ve inspired me to try Dixie Belle instead. I will use your link to buy it if I buy some. Thank you so much for this video. It was well presented and fun to watch.🥰 PS , the Modern Masters is ridiculously expensive in my opinion. The bottles are so tiny . Hopefully Dixie Belle is more for the money.

Can you actually do this on iron? I want to do a cattle gate in patina and a ranch name sign which will be out of iron in patina. Thank you for your demonstration.
@BellaRenovare3 жыл бұрын
You can!! So what you will want is the prime start so it doesn’t rust form the inside out but you will do the same exact thing that I did here :)
@shelleyferraro22873 жыл бұрын
@@BellaRenovare I'm going to watch this again. Do I then paint the dark paint that you painted all over the lower part of the piece the coffee bean color? The iron is a deep rust color. Have you heard of Modern Masters Metal Affects Primer? The two things I want to do will be outside at our ranch. One is a welcome sign which is a girl barrel racer and then the other is the actual cattle guard. Would the products that you recommend dry out to quickly because the guard is outside in the sun. Sorry to be such a bother but I'm really nervous about doing this and there isn't much showing working on iron or metal. Thanks so much for responding.
