NOTE - If you sided with the Stalker Faction you will exit the lesser zone through the northern checkpoint into the 'Garbage Zone', you can still walk around to the location in the video (West then south to the' Chemical plant Zone') and get the silenced pistol with the extended magazine (see time stamp) and the second Artifact. But the side quest will not be available to you because you sided with the stalkers. If you sided with the Ward Faction you can just follow the video.

@@Extraction_Rat The artifacts you get from all locations are always random, I've since tested it on multiple character saves. Reloading before you enter the game cell will actually let you change what artifact you get. I believe the SOUL artifact is always the same though since its tied to the side quest.

@@reds1122 The sniper you get from the water tower (headshots are so rewarding and the ammo type is easy to get). The long barrel hunting shotgun. Id also suggest upgrading skifs pistol. Then your using 3 ammo types for all types of ranges too.

For those of you that sided with richter and ended up north in garbage territory there is also a suppressed usp pistol. When you reach the very first crossroads after crossing the bridge you are likely to hear dialogue of bandits and a stalker. Sneak up and make quick work of them. I then had the option of healing the downed stalker. Through dialogue he gave me the location of his stash in the pigsty not far from him. Inside it contained the usp and suppressor. Hope this helps

There two different ends to the starter quest Id like to say if you side with Ward your next area is the chemical plant but if you go with gaf your next area is the garage Theres a difference you can get really good armor from garage early by talk to star

I found out you can get a piece of military armour just outside the sphere (building) in the first zone, as a random drop from the soldiers there. The armor is called PSZ-7 military body armour. The soldiers there seem to randomly spawn, and spawn endlessly. They’re tough to fight but have good drops and seem to drop orange durability weapons about 50% of the time, so you can farm weapons to sell in addition to the armour and other loot. Hope this at least helps someone, and happy hunting stalkers!

Found the parts for the silenced UPC in the starting zone. Takes a little bit more effort, but great for those who don't want to progress the story yet.

for those went to the Garbage, at the entrance run straight into the twin white barn or house and trigger the dialog, talk to the npc and give them some copper candy, heal the lying stalker and he will show you his stash which has the silenced pistol inside

Stalker including stalker 2 is painfully unforgiving, always has been. Aim for the head, engage from a distance and take cover. Carry only what you need and save often. Enjoy the hardship because it makes the safe zones and campfires so much better and relaxing

HUGE TIP. Anything in RED on artifacts (Radiation: Weak) that means it does damage to YOU but weak. It does NOT mean that is give you weak radiation resistance

5:34 I was able to get the Liquid Rock ( Radio Protection-Max / Chem Protection-Max) - Best one I have found. Truly a End Game Artifact. Your Guides make this game so much more enjoyable. Thanks. I ended up with a suppressor for my Makarov super early. like literally less than an hour. I don't remember exactly but I wanna say it was on a shelf in that building where you save the second guy (not the post office guy the other one he sends you to save).

Game has really good potential, I can see this aging very well a couple years down the line. Devs need some time adding fixes and features to improve stealth/combat, AI, etc., looking forward to coming back when this feels like first person mgs/metro

I wonder if there's a way to make the NPCs not act like you don't exist, even though the silenced shot sound is pretty obvious and quite loud enough for nearby NPCs to actually hear it while muffled. Here's hoping there is that possibility in the settings, without requiring a mod.

Spoiler: There's no way to adjust this in the settings of the game so a mod will definitely be required. UNLESS Veteran difficulty helps with that, which even if it does, it makes the game probably tedious for no reason, judging by the mods on Nexus fixing a lot of the grind and stuff.

There's a UDP compact in a stash I found in the Lesser Zone. Not sure what gave me the coords, probably a random bandit. It's in some storm drain tunnels NE of the tutorial start, not within a POI on the map it looks like 2 squares straight south of the scientist's bunker

Red icon weapons are broken, you can repair them for horrendous costs (if you absolutely want to keep the weapon) but no one buys them outright and repair then sell is a hefty loss. So far I have found no one who wants them. Just unload the things and dump 'em

For anyone wondering, Just tested it. You cannot access Chemical Plant without doing Wards. If you did Stalker and have the quest to go to Garbage then Chemical is inaccessible until later it appears.

Could very well be something on your end cause I've beaten the game on a series x without a single crash And I've learned that sometimes the reason for enemies spawning out of nowhere is because of a controller I found out after trying to search a body and it disappeared, mostly my problem is the weird stick drift effect

I want to like this game. But it's impossible. Enemies have laser accuracy from miles away. Endlessly throw grenades. Stealth is a joke. Combat is deeply unsatisfying. Edit - No, I am not trying to "run and gun". Enemies will see you within 200m and will start shooting/attacking you when you're in their range, even if you can't see them. I am trying to play stealthily. Its just not working. Doesn't matter if its night or day, if my light is on or off, crouched in a bush or not. It just needs a patch or two, as others have said.

Wait for the patch. Give the team some credit. They are literally developing this and working on this in the middle of a ever escalating war. Hell due to all the missiles that Russia keeps on fucking throwing at them randomly I wouldn’t put it past them from developing this thing under ground in a dirt basement. They’re currently taking in all the feedback of everyone and are going to put out a post launch hot fix and also actual update very soon. Just look out for it. Give it time. If that doesn’t work out for you put down the difficulty to rookie. It actually works wonders on rookie while still providing at least some challenge. Don’t get me wrong even on rookie. You can’t go balls to the wall running into a group of enemies you’ll get your ass kicked.
