I printed it earlier this year because the title stood out as I'm a huge Predator fan and your review sealed the deal. I think what you said in the summary of the pnp version nailed it. It's the closest thing to a beer and pretzels game a solo game could be. It's definitely a game I would buy. I'm closely watching his "Spy Car" entry in this year's competition and can't wait for the components to drop!

Great playthrough/review! I think the game turned out great, and Sam knocked the artwork out of the park! Hope you like the final version, I do! The decision to go from the charts to cards was to give the artwork a chance to bring the contacts to life and be a more streamlined version. It does lose the theming of each zone a bit, but my original concept was a card game in the first place, and I think cards add a bit of chaos to the mix, which was kind of the goal. Enjoy, and keep up the great work!

Really great video. This is the first video of yours that I've seen. I'd love to see more videos of this type (solo retail games). Thank you for posting this! I'd thinking of backing this game.

Great job! I'm still on the fence with this one and your review is definitely pushing me to the "I want" side so we will see. Price is a big point and shipping too so this is what is making me hold off so far.

Not backing. But drawing loot from decks should be a deck for each zone type. Setup and teardown will be minimal and having something tangible in your hand to look at is always better than rolling tables. Rolling tables can and will give duplicate results, not possible with cards.

I totally agree! I loved the contacts and loot being area based. The retail version has 40 contact cards and 40 salvage cards. 8 extra cards for each deck would cover the 6 per area that the original game had. It would also seem to make the opportunity for expansions more interesting. A zone card and 12 cards would make a whole new zone. I do wonder what the thinking behind the changes was. Cards definitely beats tables and makes it more of a retail game, but as you said cards for each zone beats generic cards.

@@martysmovies7892 The original PnP just had tables for salvage and encounters, as you know, but that was more out of necessity. I like the charts, but the cards speed up play. I may fiddle with optional ways of setting up the encounters pregame. There have been rumblings of a 2nd ed, but nothing set as of yet.

Great play-through, thanks. I supported the kickstarter so I have the rules pamphlet. However, I don’t understand how, when or even if supply points can be used to recover soldiers. Can you help? Cheers.

Getting a free copy doesn’t count as payment in my book. But receiving actual money is really paid promotion. Anyway good luck making a living from the Internet, it’s hard work.

I'm not planning on making this my job. If I wanted to do KZbin for the money, I would have made a channel about makeup tutorials or Minecraft or something like that :)

By the KZbin rules, you have to check the "includes paid promotion" box if you received anything of value from a 3rd party.
