Wow! Sweet girl! You have tugged every heart string I have. I have recently discovered journaling and have heard your name several times. I always intend to look up your channel and get distracted or fall down the rabbit hole of KZbin. Tonight one of your videos popped up as a suggestion. It was the textile kit. I love fabrics and textures but have never really sewn (although it is something I really want to learn).I was enthralled by your excitement and love of the fabrics and history of them. So I next watched the Bohemian textile journal video to see how you used them. Less than 2 minutes into the video I was bawling. Your awareness of cultures, of people, of putting love into the world are so profound. I next watched the immigrant journals. Oh man. I was bawling through those as well! I grew up with a very diverse collection of cultures.My uncle is a Navajo Medicine Man. My mom taught English on the Indian Reservation when I was little. (I was bullied because I was different, dark blonde hair and fair skinned. Kids can be so cruel.)My stepmother is from Mexico (Juarez). So I grew up surrounded by the rich Mexican culture. My step sisters and step mother were very cruel to me when my dad wasn't around. So I was bullied there as well. I was chubby and white, while they were beautiful and dark and thin. I am happy to say that many years later, I have a beautiful relationship with both my stepmother and sister. We are very close and I know that to get to the beauty, you have to go through some not so pretty things. I am thankful for it because it makes me appreciate it all the more. My mother's family is of Cherokee and Irish descent. My dad's family is of Blackfoot Indian and German. So I was introduced to many cultures and practices throughout my life. So I absolutely love and embrace all cultures. To me, we as humans are a beautiful tapestry of rich colors and textures with different styles of fabrics that together are the most beautiful textile there is. Your truth is beautiful. Your love and joy are contagious. I absolutely love the way you weave a story into a journal rich with history. I was enthralled to learn of each of your Bohemian Ladies and Immigrant Ladies. Truly beautiful! I just wanted you to know how deeply touched I am by your story, and the love you are putting into the world! Thank you for sharing such raw and honest truths in such a beautiful way! P.s.(Wow, I apologize that I wrote a novel)

Dear Nazy, Thank you somuch for sharing your very personal struggle and how you came out of it on the other side. You are truly a corn heart. I have struggled on and off with a weight problem most of my life(I'm now 74 yrs. old and am overweight again and am very self-conscious about it, to the point that I only go out when I have to. Your message about not comparing ourselves to others is so helpful. I do give to others and share my love to them, but you showed me that I also have to accept myself as I am. I am not my body, I am a loving soul that finds beauty in nature and sees the heart in others. I thank you so much for being so open, I believe you will help many people. Oh my god, I cannot begin to explain the emotion I am feeling with reading your comment! Knowing that my video has helped you get through a really dark and terrible day makes this completely worth it! This is the reason why I wanted to share, to help people who were going through the same sadness that I was and knowing that the only solution is finding personal happiness and joy for life, no matter what your situation is! Amen, my sister! I can absolutely relate to the same feelings I dealt with in middle/high school. I, too, was very selfish and uh..stupid! And now, I can look back and see how insignificant a few pounds were. Its also something I preach about as well, just hoping that one more girl out there will stop and think about what she's doing to herself and realize how ridiculous it all is. A few less pounds will not make you a better person, will not make you happier or make others like you more. So, eat the damn cupcake! haha! Nazy. This is my second video ive watched from you and i can say you're a wonderful person. You remind me of myself, look back when you were 13 or 14 yrs old. Im 14 and everything you did when you were in that age (dieting and not eating) im doing all those just because i want to lose some weight. I thought it was brave of you to speak about your struggles with anorexia and I believe that hearing you speak about it will help others. It is wonderful to hear of your family support as well. oh .p.s Nazy ,I have an ED too .since my teens years ,now in my 50's .I also work with ED patients in the clinic I work for .so I know and feel your pain from that as well.I'm so sorry that people can be so cruel and not really know a person ,just what they look like on the outside and judge ,that's where you can make a difference in our world girl .you go out there and show them who you really are ,and after all its really G-d that matters in the end anyway ,not what others think.

Loved your video! I agree that we can all learn from each other. I also suffered from very bad anorexia in high school and after and am so excited to hear others share there stories! My daughter is just slightly older than you and the two of you remind me so much of each other she was due on the 12 of March but was stubborn and waited till the first day of spring. I just discovered your videos only today and this one is particularly interesting. I’ve always had a fascination for the Native American beliefs and I think they have a link with what you are talking about. Your Bohemian journals and envelopes are amazing. What a BEAUTIFUL family you have! What a wonderful world we would live in if everyone was raised with such love in a supportive community. I think self-acceptance in our western world is a rare commodity. We are conditioned to believe we are not enough or we are too ________ based on our appearance. Some women go their whole lives and never get what the wisdom of your corn heart has taught you. I think when you go thru any sort of illness, it makes you stronger on the other side of it. It also gives you an understanding, compassion & caring for others -- which you totally exude! :-)

I couldn't agree with you more, the community we grow in when we are young completely shapes our personality and beliefs when we are older, it is so important and fundamental to form a community of love! My illness was a terrible experience, but if it wasn't for the struggle I went though I would of never appreciated life and acceptance as much as I do now! You would love New Zealand. I lived there for a year. It is such a beautiful country! And ive traveled all over the world, 30 or so countries. It is so diverse..with rolling hillsides, tropical beaches, different kinds of forests, alpine mountains and more. It really is an outdoor lover's dream! And what i found, which i think youd like, is that the people there were all so kind!! Now i spent most of my time on the south island which has a low population so you get more of that small town community vibe already. But i just felt that people there werent as caught up in the rat race as we are here. They didnt over work themselves. They were more interested in spending time with family and friends and enjoying life. Anyway i think youd really like it! Oh, and just fyi...it was extremely easy to get a 1 year work visa (if your between the ages 18-30) for New Zealand. I filled out some forms online and in i think 2 weeks had a visa! So just a thought!😉

OMGoodness...I loved hearing the story of your life & I wrote an essay many, many years ago about how “Life Is Like A Roller Coaster Ride” with the up’s & downs, the fun, the beauty, the fear, etc. & I am so very sorry about you being bullied because that is something I am so against, always have been & even more now with my youngest son being special needs, but more awareness, harsher punishments & so on needs to be focused on bullying because it needs to stop, so again I am so, so sorry that you were bullied & hurt so bad by such ignorance...😞👍🏻!!! Nazareth is a band I’ve loved for many, many years & the other bands you mentioned & my 1st husband came into my home after I had enough of his abuse & stole all my albums, CD’s, cassettes & pretty much everything, even all my photos which the photos are the only items I care about because they can’t be replaced, so I know what it’s like to be bullied, called ugly names, be choked, beat on cheated on, etc., but I do believe in KARMA, so both my ex-husbands will get theirs, just as I believe in true love & that mine as yet to be...🙂! I love this. I lived in Mexico for 15 years and visited Mexico City many times and worked with many of the indigenous peoples several times. My two best friends were Mexican and my children were born in Mexico too. Oh, and my birthday is this month too. :) Thanks for this intro video and sharing your heart with us. What cute photos! :)

Thank you dear! You are so sweet. Mexico will always be my second home and always in my heart. They are wonderful people. I have been able to keep up my Spanish in various jobs where Hispanics also worked and we have a Spanish congregation as part of our church and are friends with several of them. We also helped at our church food shelf where we got to speak with and pray with many Hispanics since we helped with registration. It is always a blessing. you're adorable. I had the same hair cut when I was little and I was chubby too. I went through bullying too. I grew up in an area that was of German and Irish decent and dealt with a lot of racist comments. But it has made me into the compassionate person that I am. I don't have tolerance for bullies nor racist people. Now a days, people see past my color, which is good. I enjoy watching your videos and seeing your work. I am currently putting together a Travel journal for when I go visit Chile during spring break. My grandmother isn't doing well, so my brothers and sister decided that it's time for a trip. it's a bittersweet trip. I'm excited to see my family, it's been a little over a year since I was last there. (I'm adopted). we rely on Google translate. Not the best. but my Spanish is muy Mal, we some how manage. lol. I am a little over half way done with decorating my book. (not as amazing as your's, I might add. lol) I'm saving up for a journal from you and some TNS cases from over seas. hopefully by summer.

wow!!!🙂That was a good ..powerful video. definitely got me thinking and I just turned 22 In January. you're like an old soul trapped in a young girls body . the way you talk is really wise 😊😇😇. also I am glad that you shared what you been through. because around the time that I was 14 I was starving myself and not eat as much ..and that did cause some problems later on like epilepsy.. i mean thats not the only reason why i started having seizures. but it played a big part I had to be put on meds 😓😓. but like you said ..i felt really stupid .perdon si dije mucho. but even though your a little younger than me. youre an inspiration.
