I met my husband when I was fifteen I dated him at 16 and I married him at 22 my husband pass of a massive heart attack in 2017 he was the love of lfe. At that time I had just turned 52 years old and had he lived to September he would have been 56. I have been celibate since the day my husband passed over. now my life journey has led me to become a humanitarian activists making this world a better place into which I arrived.❤

Most broken marriages ends up in divorce because of lack of patience. If you wait on God in the midst of what’s going on in your marriage and you give yourself to prayer, persistent prayers, and you remained faithful God will show up for you when you least expect it. He may not show up on your time but He’s a on time God. If you don’t quit He won’t quit. I am writing this as an encouragement to married couples out there who are on the brink of separation and/or divorce not to give up. No relationship is perfect, no matter how good it looks! People will see a perfect picture on the outside, but do not realize that there are issues among relationships that are not being exposed! In general if two people cannot work out their differences then they need time apart, before they decide to walk away from each other! Then if there is a chance that the other person is willing to give it try then there may be hope! Prayers are very important in relationships especially if you are going through something when you hurt inside! ❤

I thank y'all for the transparency! The words of our testimony helps us overcome!! I definitely didn't have patience at times, and I wasn't ready for the warfare that came with my previous relationships! But God!! I keep thinking about Phil 2:3-4: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In my experience, marriage in the midst of trials in a relationship redirects the focus of who you are actually serving. In my situation, I found myself focusing more on serving as a wife in a manner that was pleasing to God. Even in times of conviction, I found myself submitting to a level of humility that allowed me to seek God in my responses and reactions to certain situations. An example was an apology that God put on my heart to give for some things I said to my husband during an argument. I wasn't wrong in what I said, I was wrong in saying it. I sat on that apology for two days! I called him on my way to work and apologized. I also admitted that I'd been convicted and that God put it on me to apologize. I am mindful to see his contributions and not my expectations. I am mindful to show gratitude and to acknowledge his contributions.

Amen. None of us are perfect. Relationships will be tested on many levels. That being said when 2 come together and are totally committed you will be overcomers to adversity. I'm 59 and my husband is 63. I have been with my husband since the age of 16, and when I tell you we've been tested individually and in our marriage baby... whew & amen!!! What I believe worked for us is that divorce is off the table. We established that from day one of "I DO" I spent many nights fasting & in prayer bcuz I know & believe that's the ingredients to overcoming. Is it easy? My husband and I have been married 17 years and we also have 7 children (10 if you count the grown ones). I have heard that quote before that anything worth having is worth fighting for. You praying together and believing in God to transform each one of you to make each one a better person for each other and for the marriage and family unit is the best way.
