I just found your channel. I simply love it!! I was a pediatric home health nurse until I had 2 brain surgeries that has ended my career. I honestly love the positivity you give!! I grew up in a house where my Daddy was an amputee and if he had to walk a long way had a brace on his "good" leg and in a wheelchair. He was partially paralyzed due to Vietnam. In the '80's the mindset was just keep those that are different out of the eyes of the public. I never got that. My Daddy made prosthetic arms and legs. As a young child I thought other people's Daddy's were different not mine if they had both legs. 😁 I have had parents who didn't want their children to be seen by the public or much interaction themselves with their own child. That would leave me so very sad. I primarily worked with non-verbal children. The nurse who "trained" me told me to just turn on his headphones and you can just do what you want. I couldn't do that. Him and I did crafts, went outside, made cookies, decorated his room for the holidays etc. I talked all day. To make a long response longer😉 THANK YOU for being such AWESOME parents for Leon!! I would love to meet and spend time with your great family!!! Thank you for being a great advocate and letting others know that just because Leon may look different and has special needs, that he is NO different than you or I!! Much love❤❤❤~~Robin

I think the amount of options available to bring a child into your family is wonderful and to be able to have a surrogate for some families is life changing and what is right for them, but if we aren't able to have a child on our own we would really rather give a child a family that otherwise might not have one
