A much needed video. You guys should do more for your all access plan with a full walkthrough about all the slate plugins and using them in real projects. Maybe incorporate the SSL plugins which are offered as part of the complete access plan. Your loyal fanbase really deserves more than just once a while videos.

WOW...a video from Slate....about time!!!! You should do a bit more on using slate plugins and how to use them on real projects and mixes breakdown using slate plugins...Plugins alliance is WAY ahead.....

Please create the option to use Slate plugins outside of the VMR, similar to Soundtoys or Snapping. It would make my work flow so much faster and more versatile. Thanks x

Does it have GUI scaling now? It looked really small in 4K displays, was the main reason I opted out from the subscription last year.

In the new Cubase 13, the only plugins where I have scaling issues are Slate plugins. Almost unusable, when using two monitors with different resolutions.

Amazing that an audio plugins company would put out this video. It is almost unlistenable on my Mac speakers due to the extreme sibilance and heavy handed compression on the audio dialogue. Did you guys record this using VMR?

I love my Slate Digital All Access Pass + 2-VRS8's, 2 ML1's, 2 ML2's & use VMR quite a bit (with Pro Tools Studio). But in this example all the V/U meters are driven well into the red upper limits. WHY??? I always turn the levels down on the presets to stop the levels going into the red.

That's a good question! I've noticed this too, and I always dial down the gain to keep those needles off the post. I think they're looking to add a bit of distortion with those pegged meters.

Ironically they're co fused as to what they're doing I think. They're clipping the sound and also adding sub bass after subbass lol.

I guess you don't get what I was saying which is not surprising. The reason I made the comment was that it is ironic that an audio company would put out videos with poor quality dialog and bogus presenters who look like it was your first time in front of a camera. The stupid camera angle trick is the oldest in the book and was just plain distracting. Sounds good, but the navigation system within VMR when you have more than 6 modules loaded is a bit annoying and impractical actually... don't know how but you should improve it to be more agile. You also need more convincent guys presenting your videos, or at least more "attitude", and more "non-cliché" script by the way. With respect. A long time user over here,

Some of those were WAY TOO HEAVY HANDED. I feel like part of the problem was the music was terrible though. Kids, back off your signal chain edits by at least 20%. They will not age well when super exciting in the moment.

The synchronized "What is Virtual Mix Rack?" kinda cringed me a bit. Obvious scripted marketing makes me thing twice about the plugins, sometimes; although I am a Slate subscriber (for several years now). No regrets on that one. For sure, this video was long overdue. As a guitarist/bassist I feel that a new guitar ampsim would be in order to bring on more artists than engineer/producers... The Overloud is good, but it's time for something new. Also, for some reason, I realize it's not a "related company", but SSD could use a big revamp at this point. Been years meow. No disrespect intended, just hope this reaches the CEO.
