At this rate of consistency Murray will never be an All Star. But he has lite it up in a timely fashion in the past, leading to great playoff runs and one ring. But beating the Mavs without Luka means nothing.

Jamal Murray is definitely an odd player. When he is playing at his best level he is one of the best in the league but when he is at his worst he barely makes an impact. If the Nuggets can get him to play at his best they will win another championship.

The assist rules were so much stricter 20 years ago, I don't understand how Jokic can get the assist when a pass is tipped or if the receiver creates his own shot. Kobe averages 10 assists easy under these guidelines, LeBron would have averaged 15-20 in that first Cavs stint. Slapping the ball to a teammate is a rebound. Unethical triple doubles, spam 3s, "gather step".. what happened to the game I love

"Lebron would have averaged"? Lol. Lebron is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the assist rules. Watch the Angry Hoops Fan video breaking it down. Lebron regularly gets credited with assists where the guy receiving the pass might as well have dribbled out the building before scoring.

26 shots, 6 assists.. his points came at the expense of the team offense.. on top of that.. he just came back from injury and played 36 minutes... which is about 10 minutes more than any other starter... and he the lowest plus/minus out of all of the starters.. and that means to me that he was just taking their shots.

He had a nice game but I think that the Nugs made a critical mistake signing him to a max extension over the summer (208 mil/4 yr) given his health concerns since 2019. He had a poor playoff showing against the Twolves and a dismal performance during the Olympics. He's on the backside of his career. He will be will be a Bradley Beal albatross in two years.

How about making all star game interesting again? By playing Western Hemisphere against Easter Hemisphere. Let's make it competitive. The US players would defend the pride and supremacy of American basketball. And Nikola, Wemby and company would have something to say to that. Personally I'd like to see Nikola and Wemby together in Spurs under Pop's coaching (plus Westbrook, don't separate him from Joker), but this would do as well.
