thick drums without mud Cut at 200Hz using band/peak stereo eq in the buss track where all the drums are routed. pan non-essential drums left or right within the safe stereo image range. sweep low end using a high pass filter on the difference channel using sum/difference eq (mid/side eq) at 80Hz if you have tom toms. to thicken any percussion sounds you do parallel (NY) compression in the buss track where all the percussion tracks are routed.
