Just use ghost notes or play with velocity. Side-chaining just creates the typical horse riding pattern effect (edm comes to mind). Overused and overly complicated process

It's like when you click peak it goes in peak mode instead of RMS mode

Peak mode is the state you enter when you click on the Peak Mode activator. [ook ok.. in Peak Mode the compressor act "instantly" to lower the loud spikes.. while in RMS it's more smooth]
