I'm 28 but my mom is a child of the 50's and she traveled this road as a child,and has told me alot about it. I have also traveled bits of it but I know it's not the same now.She was excitied by seeing the Wigwams and roadside attractions. She has given me a wander-lust state of mind. I love to travel. My family's goal is to see all 50 states. my mom has only 3 more to see. N.and S. Carolina and Delaware.I hane 20 more to see.

I spent 3 weeks this summer in the USA and drove through the route 66 with a rental car with a friend of mine :) It was unforgettable, once in a life time trip.

It took us about 2 weeks to get to Los Angeles. We abandoned the final segment of the "mother road" somewehere after Flagstaff to get to Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park and San Fransisco. From San Fransisco to LA we drove via the coastal highways (HWY 1&101). We resided in a motel in Glendale for a week and went to Disney Land, Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain and many other cool places :) We also played a lot of pool billiards. All in all, we drove about 6300km/3900miles :)
