You know Phil I don’t usually comment until I’ve watched the video in it’s entirety. But for today’s I must say how impressed I am with the integrity you and Jess bring to your customers. Specifically not charging the customer for X package if it can’t be achieved. Every day you exude professionalism and a code of conduct that extends way beyond the industry as a whole. I always recommend your videos to detailers and fellow hobbyists who not only want to improve their skill set, but as a beacon of how a business should be run. It’s a goal to meet you one day and to have you and Jess detail my car. I’m in South Florida though, and my health just won’t permit it. Nevertheless, if you want to visit Boca Raton, we could one step my car and you could enjoy a nice weekend. I’ve got a pretty good setup😅.

It’s on video. What’s he going to put content out there of him overcharging, rummaging thru glove compartments and lying to clients? 😂 I’m joking of course but many comments seem awfully contrived.

Now I know there's hope for mine compared to this Malibu my Kia Optima LX is brand new. Wow I'm glad I watched this and realize that I take excellent care of my car. Awesome job Phil and Jess. Chevy looks new again. So you use some TW One and Done I can't wait to get that and try it with my Uro microfiber 50 50 6 inch pad.

Hi. Thanks! Yeah this one was one of the b worst we worked on. But fortunately it was saved!
@neilwalker50412 жыл бұрын
Another car saved again. I have no idea what people will do ten years from now because the paint is becoming to thin to rescue paint. I really enjoy the Meguiars compound too as it has its place at times. The Glossom sealant is a product I need to purchase too. Awesome job and thank you for the video!

I just did one with clear coat failure and heavy oxidation. I told ‘em it might come back but when I polished it looked new. Months later some areas the failure appeared but he was just happy with the parts that stayed. Definitely good to set expectations!

Exactly! I had to tell the customer that it may return but they understood and was just happy it looked good.

Im def impressed, i woulda thought by looking at that clear it have to be wet sanded, 1500, 2000, ect, but u cut it perfect, u got a new sub, i have ceramicpro on my 17 acadia, 1 year in and its holding up so far, which ceramic would u recommend for durability?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks! Well we love Gtechniq and Gyeon coatings because we have used them for years. CarPro Cquartz is also really good. I don’t believe in any coating going past 5 years. By that time the paint needs to be polished to remove any minor swirls and etching that would happen after that long a period.

Phil, for sap i use everyday hand sanitizer and it releases the sap almost immediately but is there any concern in using it?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. So Isopropyl Alcohol is mostly in those sanitizers. that will weaken or remove any wax or sealants that you have on there. so just reapply a wax or sealant on the areas you used it.

Hi. Oh yes. If someone is charging less for this they probably won’t be in business that long. It takes skill and knowledge of car paint systems to do this correctly. 😎👍🏼

Hello Phil great video, can i ask? Because this clear coat is very old, very very oxidised and also someone had cut it before very aggressive.......and probably the previous removed very much clear coat and almost all the top clear coats UV protection ( i remind that the top 1/5 of the clear coat original thickness holds almost all the uv power) that is why is worse on the top surfaces ( hood trunk e.t.c) Do you have any second thoughts or concerns or informed the customer for any potential possiblity that this oxidation can come back again sooner ar later because of the abused clear coat?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks. Yes we explained to them that because of its condition it may oxidize again and I make no promises. But the customer was just so happy that it came out looking tho good.

Amazing Did you cut with the purple MF pad with D300? Then you moved to orange foam with D300 and then to another MF pad with D300,? Which brand were the MF pads used? If D300 wasn't used for all steps which compound was used for each step? Thank you!
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I used both D300 and Megs m100 and a few others. Basically mix and match until I got the results i wanted.

Phil: Great video. One question, when it comes to the paint correction, protection, & polishing what is your recommendation if you are strictly a mobile detailing company?
@gohan11902 жыл бұрын
In my opinion I would just have the protection detail with the Glossome Wax he has demonstrated here, it works great in the sun! Plus Paint correction takes alot of time & It's not ideal in the blazing heat 🥵😄. Hopefully that helps 👍

Phil: What can I say - Masterful work again! I always learn something from you each time so thank you! I was wondering at what reading on the paint meter would you say the paint is too thin and you would stop going further?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. thanks. So when the readings start to reach 4 mils and under thats when we start to take extra precautions so as not to cut too much.

Well done job. you actually did many passes on the oxidized areas but at the end the job came out good. instead of using wax on the oxidized part can one seal the job with ceramic coating?
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Oh yeah. It was really bad and needed. Yea you can definitely use any protection you want after. The customer opted for a sealant instead of a coating.
