Hi brother. Great video and skills as usual. Pity you removed older videos I'm pretty sure they were very inspirational for many. Quick question I remembered you had a video how to tie breaks so they don't hang loosely. Would you have any link to that video handy or some link with quick DIY? Again thanks for sharing your journey 🙂🤘

Could you possibly discuss the advantages/disadvantages of using free brakes? The only thing I understand is that they supposedly allow you to control different portion of the trailing edge rather than all of it at once? But what does that mean in practical applications? How does it affect flying? Thanks in advance and great video!
@christianmiles3 жыл бұрын
If you push your hand away from your body and pull down, it deflects the inside trailing edge but not the wingtips. This makes you turn flatter. Putting your hands close to your body and pulling down deflects the tips more, causing the wing to do more of a "dive" turn. Also you can "feel" the wing better with freebrakes. The answer is quite mathy, but basically if the wing pulls on your hand with regular pulleys, its going to pull directly upward. With freebrakes, each part of the wing pulls your hand in a different direction, letting you feel the pressure in each individual part of the wing a bit better. For cross country it doesnt do too much. For beach flying it can give you a bit more control, but its main advantage is in ground helicopters and acro tricks. Plus some people just like the feel over regular brakes.

What wing are you using and is it better than susi 3? Because I pretty much bought susi 2 and 3 because of your videos
@GetiG4 жыл бұрын
There I was flying the Flow Yoti 2 17m, its a good wing just like the susi but most simple way I can break it down is if you do hike and fly and coastal buy the susi. If you do just coastal and buy the Yoti. It just has to do with the fabric the gliders are made of, the Susi3 is light fabric so not soo durable for just coastal flying where the Yoti is thick fabric, good for coastal but not so much hike and fly because of weight.. but as far as flying performance they are quite similar
