You should check out the British sitcom called "Coupling". I think it came out like in the early 2000s. Jack Davenport, who plays Norrington, was one of the main characters there.

The 2nd Disney theme park attraction to become a film following The Country Bears (2001). 1 of 2 Disney films based on theme park attractions released in 2003, the other was The original Haunted Mansion. 1 of 2 films in the same year that starred the incomparable Johnny Depp. I never would've thought myself that something that was a ride could be a film. Pirates on film in any form, even in tone could be fun and adventurous as they should be. The direction, writing, scope, scale and then some to most people reinvented the summer blockbuster. The cast all around is great. Almost every kind of character you would expect in a genre like this. But Johnny Depp, an actor's actor is incomparable with CJS as his biggest role and in the biggest film of his career at the moment, winning several awards plus an first-ever Oscar/Golden-Globe (Best Actor) nominations for his performance. Please continue on with the 4 sequels. They're lengthy films, but all are still exciting to watch.

Perfect movie and role. If you delve deeper into the BTS, you will find that director and actor were confident that he let Depp improvise a lot which stayed in the movie. The walk and scar which gets worse are some of that.

If Will Turner practiced 3 hours a day so he could kill a pirate, why did he throw the sword into the door to stop Sparrow from leaving? He could have thrown it at the back of his head...killing him. I also think Barbosa would have known that Bootstrap Bill had a son and not a daughter.

My Father gave me my first tight lace corset for my 14th birthday and I have worn one every day for the last 16 years since then! This is what happens when you allow special effects workers plenty of time to do their thing and stick to the script, instead of endless amounts of film execs coming in and interfering, changing the script, rushing production and everything. I also miss movies like this, where it wasn't just pure action every 2 minutes, bang, bang, bang, scene after scene. The film allows you moments to breath between scenes, and view those long horizons to let you process what you've just witnessed or process those meaningful bits of dialogue.

A great series. If you enjoy swashbuckling movies you can go OLD school with The Sea Hawk, Captain Blood, Mutiny on the Bounty or Treasure Island. Or newer with Cutthroat Island. As a side note girls; the United States Navy was originally formed to fight pirates, the Barbary Pirates.

The "bad luck to have a woman onboard" didnt stem from any kind of woman are "bad" or "weak". It stemmed from the fact that when sailing the men would be without any kind of "relief" for months at a time. So...yeah Also dark fact but the whole waste not moment with elizabeth was really dark considering she would be a woman on a ship with an entire crew of pirates who can now feel pleasure
