Did anyone else cry during the end credits showing scenes from the first and second How To Train Your Dragon, cause it always hits me when the song plays.

Toothless and Hiccup were growing up together, which is why Toothless undergoes so many physical changes. They are both 20. Toothless had to mature to be able to shoot plasma but because he grew up with people he learned how to be stategic which is why he never misses and aims for weak areas. The Light Fury then teaches him how to Dragon, so he learns how to use lightning with her and how to camo. She heats up through fire and her scales become reflective making her appear to disappear. She shoots white or clear flames like burning alcohol whereas Toothless shoots blue plasma which is way hotter. Also Hiccup damaged Toothless' tail and Toothless damaged Hiccup's leg which was the closest to bite on to as they fell, then he folded Hiccup into his legs and wings to protect him from the fall, flames and fire.

I love that ending scene with them flying again. It also goes to show what a beast of a rider Hiccup was where even after ten years he can ride bareback while Toothless does all those twists and turns midair.

I really hope they dont re-do the music for the live action adaption. Its perfect as is. Im not a fan of them trying to make these movies, but if they do they should at least try their best. Oh and yeah, they HAVE to cast Jake Gyllenhall for "old Hiccup". It must happen ^^
@7REY1017Ай бұрын
The new antagonist was perfect for this ending because he was a direct opposite of Hiccup. He actually killed the night fury he took down and then used that fame he received as fuel to hunt more. He created things like Hiccup but for capturing and enslaving instead of nurturing the dragons. When you view it that way, the villain is a lot more interesting even though I think Drago had a bigger presence.

It will be mentioned but you should watch the 3 additional series that went between the movies. If nothing else, at least do “Race to the Edge”. So much more of the same adventures. Alfred Molina voices one of the antagonists. (Mark Hamill does one in the earlier ones as well). It adds so much to the story, especially the ride or die. And fleshes out the characters that are the dragon riders as well.

I was 28 when I saw this and I as well as every other adult in the theater were crying their eyes out just as hard as the kids. There is no reason to not include the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy among the greatest movie trilogies of all time.

You just have to watch a TV series about dragons, not only because of the awesome connection with the second part and the explanation of some things (like Stoick's dragon and Hiccup's sword) but also because of the plot in principle. They dive deeper into what happened on that 5 year gap between the first film and this. They expand on Hiccup and Astrid's relationship, Hiccup and his dad, as well as flesh out the rest of the gang, and how Berk adapted to living with dragons. You should also watch the Gift of the Night Fury holiday special because the events of that are referenced in the next film. And if you like watching Astrid and Hiccup's relationship develop (since when have they been engaged, for example) then you just won’t be able to stop watching this series)))) 3 апреля в 11:43

You know something? I never really had much interest in seeing these movies when they came out, but after watching these reactions, I think I may have to even though I know what happens. Just from the clips alone, I got hit in the feels. The action scenes are pretty well done, I dig the characters, and the animation as whole is stunning.

At first when I heard about the live action reboot coming out I wasn’t interested, but then I read that it’s gonna be directed and written by Dean DuBois who is the same writer/director for this amazing trilogy! So now I’m really looking forward to it!

Unless the animated series showed them, I don't think we've ever seen Astrid's family. Considering her wedding is in this one, it's kind of an odd oversight.

I hope with the the live action version they fix the final meaning behind the ending that they inadvertently messed up. The dragons were always a allegory for discrimination and while Toothless going away made sense but by having all of the dragons disappear as well they end up saying that the best way to deal with discrimination is to run and hide and let someone else deal with it.
@ayanchoudhury66979 ай бұрын
I always saw it as an allegory between humans and wildlife when it comes to real life. The lesson I took is that humans and animals can coexist but the animals will thrive only if they have their own place to live and roam freely without human interference. 2nd and 3rd films drew heavy inspirations from hunters and poachers who have been a major contribution for decline in wildlife population
@mightheal8 ай бұрын
@@ayanchoudhury6697 Well they never actually explore what the other groups are specifically doing with their dragons but what little they do imply they enslave the dragons. Only Grimmel is shown as a killer. But they also show the dragons thriving living with the Berks as partners not live stock so that allegory really doesn't hold up.

You will not be able to tame the Dragon that is coming. Revelation 12:7-10 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." This prophecy is drawing nearer. And it isn't going to be cute. But Eternal life is a free gift. John 3:16-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The Gospel in One Minute: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWfalIppj7mlo5o
