Watch the scene during the funeral ceremony of Laena, when King Viserys goes off to bed after interacting with his brother and notice what he says to alicent. So there is a clear consistency and as his then wife she already knows the issue and hence it is wrong and immoral of her to mistake his final words for her selfish deceitful cause.

Having people named the same is soooo historically accurate. France had like 18 kings named Louis. Also... Jon is not Aegon V... numbers come only to kings, he's not and even if he was, he would be the 6th. Also in the Inside the Episode they confirmed that Viserys is suffering from leprosy... that's why the cuts don't heal but that's just a side-effect of the real disease. And no, he didn't get leprosy from the throne !!

Oh you think you’re confused by all the names on the show, try reading the book. They have so many Targaryens in that book, a lot with the same names, it starts to get confusing…on top of all the other houses, and names you try to remember.

I think Screencrush is biased against the Greens, to be honest. The books differ a bit (being written from the POV of unreliable narrators), but in the context of the show the two sides have fairly even motivations in terms of morality. They are simply advocating for their respective houses. Screencrush tends to interpret Otto/Alicent's motivations as evil as possible, e.g. when thinking Alicent murdered the assaulted maid rather than what we are led to believe by the scene (paid off and given morning after tea). You could interpret Rhaenyra and Daemon as far more sinister; Daemon straight up murdered his wife in cold blood, and the both of them planned and executed the murder of a random guard so that Laenor could flout duty.

I think showing the son she tried to marry to Allison's daughter dancing with her, showed how Allison sacrificed the happiness of her daughter to instead marry her off to her rapist evil brother. In the books she ends up sorta, well loving her daughter in a different way then her son's. I think that dance was showing how she could have given her daughter a happy life, instead of the shitty one she gave her instead and short lived shitty one at that.
