Basically the closing scene is from the series finale of "Clone Wars"... Low and behold, Ahsoka has to fight her way through the Clone Troopers who have the greenlight to execute Order 66. It's both rousing, yet sad. While Anakin's doings pave way for the fall of the Jedi & the Republic, it's also ultimately his teachings that allows Ahsoka to survive.

Ahsoka's appearances in "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett" down the line pretty much tell you she's gonna survive Order 66. The end of this short, even without the context of the finale, tells you that she's gonna use Anakin's training to get out of that situation.

This was the massive difference between Rey and Ahsoka. We saw Ahsoka work her butt off for years, constant training, on the front line throughout the whole war. We got to see her progression from 1 to 10. Rey started off a 10, which removes any interest for us in the character.

Since you have yet to watch Clone Wars, you will not appreciate the relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka. It is as much between Master/Padawan and Brother/Sister. Much as Obi-Wan is the Master and brother to Anakin. Also, watching Clone Wars will greatly enhance your understanding of Ahsoka's development as a Jedi. Her story is deep and epic.

Clone Wars animated series is a MUST WATCH. It adds more depth to Anakin's downfall to the dark side, explores the famous 501st Legion which Anakin, Obi Wan & Ahsoka heads and how the Jedi Council gets blindsided by Palpatine. It also explores Ahsoka's relationship with Anakin in great detail. That last scene is heartbreaking. Legit, the last 4 episodes of Clone Wars are SPECTACULAR. This episode adds more emotional context to Anakin's relationship with Ahsoka. And adds even more to a certain episode in a certain Rebels season.

I remember Rex resists killing her and they find a way to over ride his chip before he helps get her out. Maybe I'm wrong, but yea, I assumed.. thus the point of the very short show, to show why she survived 66 and apparently why she added a second saber...

Nope you guys got it wrong. This is order 66. The last episode of clone wars. Rex and Asoka crash the republic cruiser that you see them all on and escape (mid-air) in a y-wing. All the troopers you see...all die in the crash. After the crash Rex and Asoka go back to the crash site and bury them.

This is why I said to people you can't assume certain elements haven't been touched on because they never showed it in the movie. There's much more star wars content and lore out there that deep dives characters like dooku and asoka among others especially in the expanded universe,comics,novels and cartoons. Everyone who's seen clone wars got the connection at the end with her training. Being trained by Anakin/Vader makes Asoka one of the most dangerous jedi's ever. He didn't do it the normal Jedi Way

Clone Wars, the final season in particular, makes the prequels so much better. I'm so happy that we got Tales of the Jedi as it adds even more to the prequels, really filling out characters many of us just accepted as is. Dave Filoni was the right person to leave in charge of Star Wars. I can't wait to see what he and his team does next. 7:04 Incorrect. This is Order 66. This is the best battle you'll ever see in Star Wars, IMHO. You should watch the entire series, but this season in particular, the finale, was hands down the best we've ever gotten in animation--I don't know if you've watched the Bad Batch, but it's actually the seven season of the Clone Wars, as it directly follows the events and the title card, says a much when you watch it transform before your eyes. 7:29 Steph is referring to season 5's conclusion and the beginning of the final season. Since you haven't seen it, I'll just say it's a little different from what she's saying, but the part about the Clone Troopers painting their helmets to match Ahsoka's look is indeed correct, and was a bit moving =) 8:22 this particular episode explains why Ahsoka was able to survive Order 66 when so many other Jedi, including Jedi Council members did not. Ahsoka, because of her master, didn't train as a Jedi. The Jedi trained all the time, and yet they still couldn't survive Order 66--they had the Force too. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka are the products of an unconventional Jedi, and that mindset is what saved them from things their Jedi teachings could not. Something What was it that Dedra Meero said in Andor, "systems either change or die?" She was spot on! Dooku felt something was wrong with the Jedi, which placed him at odds with the council. Qui-Gonn, being Dooku's Padawan, was instilled with Dooku's points of view, but we can see in these shorts that he still adhered to the Jedi's teachings more than his master did. Had Qui-Gonn been more like a Jedi and less of a rebel, he would have sat on the council as Obi-Wan hinted at in TPM. Obi-Wan, like Qui-Gonn before him, was instilled with his master's beliefs, though Obi-Wan was anchored a bit more in the Jedi code. Personally, I think this was why it took Obi-Wan so long to commune with Qui-Gonn's Force ghost. He wasn't yet ready to grow past his old teachings until he finally dealt with his past. Anakin being the free spirit that he was, was more in line with Dooku. Having a life before the Jedi, always made him question the things he was being taught. We learned on Tatooine that Anakin always wanted to help people--that's how he and the Jedi became friends. A lot of people wish George Lucas didn't spend so much time on the Pod Race, but that scene shows us a lot about Anakin. We see learned that he's determined and that he will not stop until the job is done. We learned that he's a fast thinker, and that he's able to adjustments on the fly. The loss of Anakin's mother was too much for him to bear. He followed the Jedi code and it resulted in his mother's death. Had he not followed the code, she might have lived. That was a turning point for him. He swore that he wouldn't let another person he cared about die if he could help it. Anakin never learned to let go, and the Jedi knew this, but they overlooked it, and dare I say allowed it to continue you---you'll see this in Clone Wars. Like Dooku, Anakin did what he did because he thought the Jedi were inadequate and of course for his own selfish needs. Ahsoka, the final Padawan on the path Dooku laid out, she's what Anakin would have been if he could have learned to do away with his attachments or at least knew when to finally let go. Ahsoka is attached, as we see in her final Jedi tales story and throughout Clone Wars, but Ahsoka knew when to say goodbye, which we learn during Lucas' last year with Star Wars. Ahsoka is the Jedi Dooku likely wanted to be and the Jedi Qui-Gonn hoped Anakin would someday be, but in the end, it was final Padawan, Ahsoka Tano that would transcend them all. Yoda's quote in the Last Jedi explains this best, IMO, "we are what they grow beyond." Ashoka is one of the only Jedi who survived order 66 ...it is showing Anakin was the one who saved her .... And the last scene was from clone wars series finale episode when all clones turned on Jedi but rex wasn't bcoz his inhibitor chip was removed....only rex and Ahsoka survived in this ship ...so basically they are showing if Anakin would have not trained her like this she would also be dead like other Jedis...

Three things. Huge, of course, was Anakin's training. We see Ahsoka performing some of the same moves against the clones in training that she performed when she fought her way through Order 66. But just as important was the information Fives had given Rex, so that Rex understood what was happening in his head long enough to resist for the several seconds it took for Ahsoka to understand and react. And just as important for that was the strong bond Ahsoka and Rex had created between them, that he would want to struggle so hard against the chip programming to give her that time.
