Because the Gotham Knights death was a more believable death for Batman, people could see and believe that Batman would be die as a hero, and when he died you could sense the feeling that Jason felt when batman died. But in the suicide squad game when batman dies it doesn't feel right, the way he dies, who kills him, and the setting where he dies. No one in the suicide squad have a good enough relationship to kill Batman and it being impactful, no one in the scene showed any remorse to killing batman, instead they made remarks about batman the whole time

Gameplay sucks for Gotham Knights but I think the story gives more respect to Batman and the Batman Mythos than anything Suicide Squad does with any of it's characters. If anything Suicide Squad kinda ruins the Arkhamverse and pisses on one of Kevin Conroy's last roles as Batman. The sad thing is that Kevin Conroy actually really wanted to play an Evil Batman and it's just a shame that they disrespected not just the character but Kevin Conroy himself in the way they just capped the Goddamned Batman. That's ultimately what I cannot forgive about Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. It doesn't just ruin the ending to Arkham Knight, it goes out of its way to both figuratively and literally piss on the Justice League and their combined legacy. Gotham Knights also really nailed the way the Bat Family gets along in the comics and goes out of its way to show the Human side of Batman and Bruce. Even if it kills him twice, he goes out as Batman.

@@abhinavgandham4883 he was nonexistent. Neither Spider-Man nor Venom lived up to their main motivations as characters, in fact the narrative made them do the exact opposite. That’s disrespect. In the comics the Venom Symbiote wasn’t evil and was 100% AGAINST mass invasion and being a parasite, to its host. Yet that’s his exact plan in the game. They basically just made him riot. And Spider-Man’s main motivation is “with great power there must also come great responsibility.” Yet in this game Peter shows little to no interest in actually living up to his responsibility and is simply ready to hand it off to Miles. “Why would this city need me when it has you?” That’s not who Peter is. In the comics, for Peter it’s not about the job getting done, it’s about HIM getting the job done because he has the power to do so. Otherwise he’d be looking the other way. Which is what got his uncle killed. So Peter CAN’T look the other way. And on top of all of that they NERFED THE CRAP out of Spider-Man. To the point where he doesn’t win a SINGLE fight on his own. And he would be dead SEVERAL times if it wasn’t for others saving him. This game MASSIVELY disrespect Spider-Man and Venom.

Why is that OK? Because we got to see the repercussions? Or because his powers stopped working. That's fair enough I guess. I don't mind him taking a break after 8 or 9 years but I get why you're mad. Venom is a more egregious flaw. That and the story is not that great. The first one didn't have a great story either when written down but it was executed well. Heck even Miles Morales story was way better and fleshed out than this.

The difference, though is those books always end in a major consequence. Like when Ben Riley died after Peter Parker told him to be Spider-Man. I think this can still work, but Miles Hass to either die or be seriously wounded. As long as they make sure that Peter Parker learns from this mistake. When he looks the other way, bad things happen. And it can’t be a permanent thing like a lot of people have been saying. Peter Parker simply can’t retire. As long as he’s alive and kicking, he can’t look the other way. I want that character trait to be blindly clear in the next game. And yes, the story overall was trash.

Not a big fan of the arkham series tone but i respect it a lot. It is masterful. Masterpieces of games. Origins is the one i like because its character focused and although it changes the timeline, it is a fantastic story on its own as are all the arkham games. Although the Arkham Knight reveal was bad. I know I am in the minority. The Arkham series like the DCAU wre great but very very tragic and real stories. The DCAU had some levity though but Beyond was a bitter end.

Gotham Knights Batman is moreny speed even if its a bit corny. Batman isnt always a great father. He can be terrible like when nightwing confronted him about his replacement in the comics. But he is mature most of the time. In the arkham series, he is pretty stoic and dismissive.
