Not even half? Thought I remembered it doing considerable damage. I always figured the characters are straight up gods themselves at that point. But what even really was going on in the fight, it shows the solar system being wiped out but then actually it's all perfectly fine like it's an illusion? i mean, clearly the game developers don't care and just want to show something awesome, and as a teen I didn't care too and just turned my brain off. It's kind of funny though, all that time spent worrying about stopping Meteor when Safer Sephiroth can instantly do something far worse.

Then you have yet to face FFV’s omniscient…or FFXII’s Yiazmat (solely because of how long it takes even at max lvl) and if we sticking to main story bosses I’ll throw out FFX: any boss that uses “banish” bye bye summons, the notorious Evrae, and the more notoriously annoying Seymour Flux atop the stupid snow mountain…which of course uses banish…and annihilation is bs if you are under leveled which you probably are.

So for FFXI, the Final BossES would be; The Shadowlord (base), Eald'narche (Rise of the Zilart), Promathia (Chains of Promathia), Alexander/Raubahn (Treasure of Aht Urhgan), Lilith (Wings of the Goddess), Hades (Seekers of Adoulin), and then you could also count Shinryu (Abyssea) & Cloud of Darkness (Rhapsodies of Vana'diel) ... And for FFXIV, Nael van Darnus (1.0, no longer able to fight), Ultima Weapon/Lahabrea (A Realm Reborn), King Thordan/His Knights Twelve (Heavensward), Shinryu (Stormblood), Hades (Shadowbringers), The Endsinger (Endwalker), ??? FF4 After Years has one hell of a hard boss for you to go through to get to him: Bahamut and the Mysterious Girl. The latter opens with Meteor and will also remove your buffs (including Reflect) immediately before Bahamut nukes your party with Megaflare. Unless you're at a high level (60+), good luck surviving that shit.

Ardyn is such an underrated final boss imo i absolutely loved his story and the epic final showdown in the ruins of insomnia... thanks to episode ardyn his story hits even harder 😢 what an amazing antagonist I'm still so sad we never got the final episode of FFXV with the glorius happy ending the game deserved. The final boss fight in XVI is hence down the most epic final boss fight of the entire serious ❤ it's such a shame the game itself wasn't able to meet the expectations.

Tbh, I'd want to see them from beginning to end. Like, some of these have some crazy cutscenes prior to the fight - it would be fun to see them, especially if you're like me and considering playing a game, but don't want to watch an entire walkthrough; Just get a glimpse of what it looks like prior. Like now I wanna see more of who Ultima was here; That design during the fight was FREAKING AWESOME...But I don't have a system that can play new games - unless FF miraculously appears on the Switch (I think at least a version of XII is available?).

Safer Sephiroth (THE FIRST TIME) absolutely destroyed me and suprised me, having to beat jenova synthesis then bizarro EVERY time prior made it a huge pain in the ass for under-leveled and ill prepared kids! EPIC memorable fight. Ultimecia was similarly more of a pain in the ass right after Griever. Jecht was cool, not hard and nobody considers yu yevon the final boss just like shirtless seph doesn’t count. Ardyn was pretty epic looking, not too hard though…just a dbz fight lol. Kefka is super sick and challening plus i hate fckin clowns. Vayne…or the undying was kinda cool but didnt feel like a final boss and easy peasy, chaos was probably the most annoying to take out and cool looking…all in all the best most memorable to me is Sephiroth cuz its…sephiroth idk. Also im gonna throw in 14’s Nidhogg, not that hard but pretty epic for an MMO

I found Sephirot to be super easy. However, even though the strategy I used was pretty basic (just haste and regen everyone while also slowing Sephirot), I guess it's likely I wouldn't have used it if I had played the game as a child. And indeed, when I went back to do the fight again without any strategy, it was rather difficult (still not THAT much, though)

Final Fantasy did some ridiculous stuff. I see that dissidia 2012 is absolutely phenomenal for a final fantasy game minus the extremely repetitive grinding. Dissidia NT looks surprisingly decent... Gotta admit that as weird as ff7 ps1 was it had so much iconic stuff going for it. Ff 7 remake is mostly awesome but gameplay isnt as great at dissidia but that kind of makes sense since dissidia takes place after advent children. Ff15 looks great tbh. I actually want to play it. Ff16 looks like a devil may cry 5 game and for that im absolutely interested. Devil may cry 5 is one of the absolute best games ive ever played. Ive been trying to beat it on Dante Must Die mode and its... its very difficult. Still have two more difficulty settings to go before i go complete it on easy mode and feel like a professional devil hunter doing main anime character stuff.

FF2, my maria from the very start of the game did 10x that damage by herself in one round. FFMQ, didnt even need to attack him in his last for, a single life spell would have killed him.

The bar of FF16 is too high, the game has ascended as the first S-rank game of the century, truly one of a kind. It is the kind of game you'd play in a dream world & almost impossible in the wake world, yet IT IS!

I would've agreed but honestly did not care for ultima at all I think he was a boring villain, but gameplay wise I can see (though bahamut fight was better than Ultimas in FF16). I liked sephiroth and ardyn the best mainly because the villians were really good so I felt more engaged in those fights.

Ultima from FF16 beats the dog shit out of 15 and 7, the badass settings, action sequences with all eikon attacks and music, and then the epic line Clive gave right before finishing him off is peak fiction.

Orphan in XIII was the hardest by far, a final boss never beat my ass so hard in a final fantasy series but just because RNG he can literally one shot you any time in the fight, also sepiroth in original VII was the easiest followed by ultima in 16 that is an amazing fight but with almost no challenge

The true boss of crisis core is the non existent plot armor. I mean zack survived summons, a literal reaper, sephiroth (well thanks to hojo), genesis, and angeal and if you consider the extra side quests the goddess. Dude's skin is tougher than anything the lifestream has ever seen.

Awe come on, Yu Yevon doesn’t count as the final boss the same way shirtless sephiroth doesn’t count, braska’s final aeon(jecht) is the final boss -_-. In other news, Clive vs. Ultima was pretty damn good, I thought Ardyn and noctis was kinda ripping off DBZ but then 16 came out with the bahamut ultra big bang Kamehameha, typhon death beam…ifrit spirit bomb…fusion ifrinix super “eikon” fist, ultima kamehameha clash with final flash….and Dante made his cameo appearance ;)
