But i think you forgot to mention that when you donate stem cells to a patient, its not from blood, its from bone marrow, which is a painful process. Its just the HLA testing which is a painless procedure. But yes, a good initiative.

No bro, earlier it used to be through bone marrow but now it is extracted from veins and rest of the blood is supplied back to the body

There are two methods: 1. Peripheral (stem cells are taken from blood). 2. Stems cells taken from bone marrow. Hollow syringe is inserted into pelvic hip bone and stem cells are extracted. This one is painful I think. Doctor decides which method is needed for the patient. We have right to refuse. If anyone can provide more information, it would be helpful

Listening to the starting part of the video, itself I was thinking of spending ₹6000 and going for HLA testing so that I can register as Stem Cell Donor to be found during matching. But Genetic Data privacy issue is a concern here when it is done for Free by a foreign country "NGO", especially when health data is the next big target for Global domination. Hope, such model is replicated by Govt. agencies and Indian People's Generic Data stays within the Country's borders and is not put in the hands of foreign powers in a massive scale (individual level of help is fine).

Is this stem cell transplant safe for the patient or they have to be on medicines even after transplant? Cost of transplant is also too high around 40-50Lac and government hospitals mai toh waiting he itni hoti hai.
